Villain is 43/5 with 2AF only 50 hands. has donkbet ~50% (10 smaples)

IPoker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (5 handed) - IPoker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($5.05)
Hero (MP) ($5.18)
Button ($5.28)
SB ($5)
BB ($12.69)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q

BB bets $0.12, Hero calls $0.12

Otf I didnt really feel like I would get a lot of value from worse hands and even if I did I wasnt happy letting them put me in a position where I had to play for more bets on the first street. I wasnt confident raising for value and getting called by the worse hands and being confident folding to the 3b. Not enough info yet or am I nitty?

Turn: ($0.50) 2

(2 players)
BB bets $0.20, Hero raises $0.60, BB calls $0.40

Turn I raise because the 2 is pretty blank but brings more draws and he also bets very small. I think I might be misunderstanding this bet from these type of fish (look maybe a bit passive because they have high Vpip/low pfr) Maybe this is really what most passive fish are doing with their very good hands because they are notoriously bad at getting decent value from the top parts of their range?

River: ($1.70) J

(2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.85

Total pot: $1.70

Otr my reasoning for value betting was that he has bet twice and called a raise so any pair that called will call a small river bet regardless of the overcard on the river. It would be a spot you would think, he could have 9x/Tx or some AQdd that might hero call, so we would never consider bluffing given his line and that in turn makes it a reasonable spot to bet 2nd pair 3rd kicker for thin value, since he only needs to call with worse 50% ott?

maybe when he bet then bet/call turn, betting the river is too thin, even though im pretty sure he can original donk a relatively wide range otf?

His FTcb is 4 out of 5 fwiw. How does this relate to his donk betting?

thanks

Dont think theres anything thin about it, betting the river is for clear value. i like it.

I think you played it alright really, i'd maybe raise the flop to just around pot or a little over for value, same with the turn if he bets really small, other wise im betting for value when he checks to us. River looks good.

thanks

a very good player I know said optimal line was raise flop and bomb turn, then decide river.

He said Jx was kinda thin because some 2pairs/straights get there so maybe XB but on lots of rivers we should be setting up stacks to jam for value!!!

fwiw :)
