The other day in a freeroll, Cards got dealt, and I landed pocket jacks in dealer position.

Blinds are 100/200, and 5 people fold out. The guy right before me bets 2k. Having played with this character for sometime that day, and several times before, I know for a fact he only bets big with aa, kk, qq. I have watched him limp in with pocket jacks and pocket tens. At this point I am reasonable sure that he has pocket qs or above.

Having a decent stack(45k) I think about it for about 5 or so seconds and call his raise. Everyone else folds, leaving me and him.

The flop is dealt. J, K, J. At this point my heart is thumping a little bit faster.

He bets hard, 10k. I use up my 8 of my 10 second time to think think about it and call. There's now 24k + change in the pot.

The turn comes up a 9.

Once again he bets 10k. Once again, I use up my time bank to think it over and call.

44k and change in the pot.

The river card comes up an ace.

Once again he bets 10k. I very quickly all in with my remaining 23k.

He thinks for a sec then calls, showing Kings full of Jacks to my 4 of a kind.

I was happy with how it turned out, doubling my money as it were.

How would you all of played that hand?

had 4 6s there just half an hour ago.
different situation though had a short stack so when the guy beside my raised i re-raised all-in pre flop with 6 6.
hit trips on the flop and 4 of a kind on the turn.

as for how you played it, i would have let a few seconds pass before pushing all-in.
apart from that well done!

You played it perfect. Nothing else you can do in that situation but hope your opponent hits something on the flop and let him do the betting. Well done.
