3bet preflop in position

I usually only 3bet preflop, when I have premium hands, but the villains 3bet with a wide range, I fold in the most of cases, some times I call with ATs+ or TT-JJ, when I have QQ+ I raise.

I need help with what hands I can call or raise, I play only low limits, I like to play more zoom games. I don't have a good strategy, I usually don't try to steel.

If you find for convenient, wide your range with A9+, 88+ ...

Step up and try stealing blinds, no other clue to offer I think

I find it easy to 3bet while in position with a moderate hand like J 10:star:

If you don't steal ,it's impossible to survive in MTT's ;You gotta learn to steal some blinds when you are in position.Try to do that in freerools like I do.It's very cool.

That would be a good hand to 3bet oop.You want more high equity hands ip.

This will build you some solid but very basic ranges to begin with.


Use combonator.https://combonator.com/

Plug your RFI ranges in the combonator App by position UTG,MP,CO,BTN,SB separately then build a defense range of 35% from each position 65% folds.

UTG for a 12% range plugged into combonator
55+,ATs+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,AJo+,KQo

gives me a defense range of 35%

To work out that value to bluff ratio on 4bets just divide your value combos by 1.5. So KK+ is 12 value combos 12/1.5=8 so 8 bluff combos.If you 4bet for value with QQ+AK from later positions.Then that's 34 value combos 34/1.5=22 so 22 bluff combos.So for QQ+ AK your 4bet bluffs might look something like A5s-A2s,KTs,QTs

3bet ranges get more complicated id suggest to begin with 3bet mostly for value and just add some bluffs like suited Ax maybe some Kx Qx like A9s-A2s,KTs-K9s,QTs-Q9s and even a few suited connectors vs most positions.But vs utg and mp you can get away with just 3betting KK+,A5s-A2s or even QQ+,AKs,A5s-A2s,AKo

i mean you really gotta open this up otherwise i mean when I three bet you like say JJ QQ AQ AK you shove i mean i could litterally fold almost my whole range minus KK and AA cause i know that you will fold any 2 not QQ KK AA and maybe ace king this means JJ QQ AK probably all minus ev plays to stack off vs you this means gonna be really hard for you to navigate the late stages of tourney as you super night to 3 bets and will be punished and when u get 5 bet shoves with anything minus AA and KK now bordeline bad feeling in your belly as you have narrowed your range to nothing best advice play the man not the cards diverisfy your strategy and ranges based on people at your table this will lead to much better results

My very simple advice is that you want to 3-bet BLUFF your weaker holding, that have some equity but its not enough equity to profitably call. For example, suited one gappers. Also you can 3-bet bluff suited wheel aces A2s - A5s because they have no kicker and have good blocker value (they block the premium range of V)

3bet vs CO-BU: 99+,ATs+,KJs+,AJo+,KQo
BB vs UTG-MP: QQ+,AKo,AKs

Use this range at the beginning, then you can add some hands
