Do you believe 3-betting a hand like 54s in the CO versus an unknown 3x opener in the HJ to be a profitable play?

I for sure don't want to go overboard with 3-betting light with weak holdings in position, but is it good as a start out. Seems like lately people have been calling my 3-bets while OOP, but folding to flop continuation bets. Not very good for when I have premium holdings, but maybe this is opening a door for bluffing.

Is this play profitable or am I getting a little too greedy for my own good?

I am talking about 50NL by the way.

I do not think it is a bad play but generally speaking, I would save that play for someone I knew had a good fold to 3bet % (around 80%+). I would tend to call if I thought he might stack off with 1 pair.

3bet with 45s vs an unknown player is not very good, yeah you are in position , but you need to have some stats on the player, you need to know that she can folds AT,KQ,AJ,AQ on a 3bet...
