So I'm stacked around 400$ and a fairly tight player opens for 20 UTG, with about 700$ deep. Folds to me in BB and I call with 35s

flop comes 3KT rainbow... I check and he bets 20. Figuring this is a cbet i call. Turn is 3! I check again, he bets 35$ and i raise to 100$

He thinks for a minute and calls. river is blank and I value bet for 140$

Now my question here is how would you play this hand? I know some of you will say dont play 35s but assume you have and you just spiked trips. Would you value bet the river? Would you check raise like I did? What hands do you suppose UTG has?

I'll post the result after some replies.

Thanks

EDIT: oops posted in the wrong category.. can someone move it?

If's he's a tight player I would guess he has tt-aa, aks, aqs maybe ako, so two of his hand are sets on the flop and also the only two hands to beat you. I"m sure the range I gave this player may be too loose utg, with the range I gave him you win 81% and your opponent wins 19% based off turn.

Haven't played much live, but I would say the fact he called your c/r he has at least some kind of K that wanted to keep the pot small (such a small turn bet). I would def lead into him on the river as you did.

Of course, I'm guessing the fact you posted this means he had a monster. So he shoved the river, you called after a lot of umming and arring, and he showed you Tens/Kings over 3s.

I wouldn't read too much into the small turn bet. Live players have horrible bet sizing (almost always too small).

Folding pre without more players in the pot as you said, but apart from that seems fine.

When he peels turn his range is like AK, KQ, KJ, KT, AA, and less often KK/TT/AT. Rainbow board right?

I'm glad everyone put this guy on the same range as I did... He turned over A3 suited! I was pretty shocked to see that. I figured a set would have shoved on me on the turn with my reraise... I really had him on a big king, possible 2 pair.
