no one folds, they always get lucky, the rake, rigged, etc.

Well I just received an email from an ipoker site called turbopoker.fr saying they'd give me €5 if I signed up.

2.5 BIs!!!

So let's play a few hands and see what all the fuss is about. BTW I normally play 50NL 6max (and win) so...

In other news, coaching for 2NL available. €350/hour + expenses (which usually run to more than the hourly tbh).

For €350/hour + expenses is good to see you are selective with candidates, i mean your reputation is on the line here.

btw for the ones don´t know Cafemate (cafeman in here), is a coach on dragme to the bar coaching site.

Glad to see someone making some sense around here.

Feel free to PM me. I accept direct bank transfers. It'srobably best if you wire enough for 10 sessions up front and then we can take it from there.

Yes, but tbh I'll probably just hit n run on ipoker and slink back to pokerstars. The regs over there will have been missing their favourite regfish :D

Hey Cafeman,

Just wondering what you think the optimal PFR/VPIP is for 2NL? I think Im running like 4/4 over 10 hands but Im not sure if maybe I should make it 5/5.

Hey pocketehs,

Firstly, thank you for your question.

What do I consider optimal VPIP/PFR for 2NL 6max? Well I've only played a small sample as you can see. I would say though, you could probably get away with playing even a little more loose than 5/5. Perhaps try something like 10/7 with a 2% 3bet, but don't go crazy OK!

Just remember that post flop is the most tricky part, and where things get interesting. I can best sum it up thus: just x/f any flop you do not hit hard.

Special hand. The Aces. Slowplay, call down and then... you know... pop 'em on the river.

gl on the tables!

I'll slow play aces 1/5 times to keep ppl guessing but i really hate doing it. You give everyone a chance to catch up...

Depends on your starting hands and if you get action already whether or not slowplaying is your best case. Since more than likely 2nl ppl will call your always going to raise them big.

Maybe on the flop when you hit big you might slowplay but generally you don't worry if they'll fold or not because if they have hit well they are going to chase you down.

Value Bet is your friend.

Best screen name ever!

You've done well, but try that on stars, it's rigged so hard it's unreal, 2nl is unbeatable there for sure

Question for Cafeman. I've heard that at 2NL you want to play as many pots as you can because the players are all terribad and we can use our potent poker power to produce a profit with any two cards. I've been working hard to maintain a 100% vpip and ofc I've been crushing everyone in my path but now it seems the players are starting to adjust? When I'm the big blind everyone will often fold to me and my vpip is taking a serious beating because of it. Is this a leak in my game? How can I counter this. Thanks.

I was hoping that they might play sub optimally if they were having to consider the comparison between their face and my ass. You've got to take any edge you can at these limits.

I guess I need to set up a proxy and give it a go, but if it's rigged, what's the point? I don't want to lose all my winnings on a dodgy site like stars.

Thanks for your question DunningKruger - btw does that mean Kruger poops in German? Anyways, back onto my superior strategy post.

This is a tough one. Obviously one of our main profit centers is the BB, so it's always distressing when it gets folded round. Often we can rely on at least the SB completing, allowing us to see a free flop with our entire range.

This is a tough leak to fix, and if I'm being honest, I'm not sure there is any way round it. Perhaps someone else can help out here?
