Hi all :)
I play poker for about a year mainly MTT but now i want to start playing cash games. I will naturally start with 2NL and try to grind it up...
Just wanted to know your opinion on where it is easier to make some profit. pokerstars or FullTilt Poker?

Also you can add some details like: FR or 6max, zoom or regular, hour of day etc...

Irrelevant, it is 2NL.

Personally I would go with Stars. It's often recommended they beginners start out at FR as tighter ranges make hand reading simpler, but I would just play what you enjoy more, fish will be abundant at 2nl FR or 6max. Regular tables generally softer than Zoom/Rush. Best time to play is when site traffic is highest, evenings UK time. Also weekend evenings are great, loads of drunk recreational players.

I would choose fulltilt. I think there is easier to play than in pokerstars.
Maybe the reason is that I play there very often, but that's my opinion.

its a no brainer to go with stars for several reasons

: the rake is lower at 2nl on stars
: more tables running so table selection is easier
: earn 100 vpps in the month and you get into the cardschat 1k freeroll

I consider here without difference where exactly to play, simply sit down to a table, and derive pleasure from game) there and experience to increase)

Agree to go to stars:

-more tables so less waiting time.
-promotions are plenty.
-if youre just beginning, go to stars. If not, fulltilt is for you.

I would choose Stars for 2 reasons for normal game and Full Tilt for the fast game.
For Pokerstars.
1. Easy seat option with session mode enabled so table selection goes easyer.
2. A lot more players and tables. Tables are softer if you choose them to be softer.
For Full Tilt
Less players on Rush so you can gather more hands per player in your HUD. Playing ZOOM on PS takes like forever to build a decent database.

I know Stars has more players and tables but that doesn't make it immediately easier. The regs, at all stakes, will all be using similar ring game filters. E.g. VPIP 25%+, bigger than normal average pot sizes, and basically will all be flocking to the same tables which appear to represent fish. Often, you'll be sat at a table with one-two massive fish, but then 5 or 8 other solid regs.

I don't know about other people but since moving from Full Tilt to Stars ive seemed to encounter a hell of a lot of regs compared with fish, andthe tables where there really is free $ the waiting lists are ridiculously huge, and all the fish will have swam away ages before you actually get sat down.

Ive moved back to FTP just for a change and although ive not been there long, fish are just everywhere. With a smaller number of players you also get solid info and note making on your opponents.

Ill be staying at FTP for a while longer, definitely. It would make sense for more regs to play at Stars too, I guess?

Just my two cents...

lol ....you do realise most of your money will come from the bad players ....so why decide to play where there are fewer of them in your opinion. if you want to play better players deposit more and move up in stakes

Of course there are more regs. A lot more. Also a lot more fish. As I said in one of my posts "There is no better skill in poker than table selection" quoting BlackRain79. If you have so many tables to choose from why not take the time to table select proper to put you in the best situations possible.
And the fact that you have to wait is not true. You can activate the Easy seat option.

For this pokerstars or full tilt...
Many people say that pokerstars is rigged, but both of them are gamble sites and they must have this option.
Just a example that there`s not difference between any poker site. This is in full tilt:
I got Q10. Flop is 6Q7 rainbow. I bet and 1 called pre-flop so we are heads-up. I checked on the flop. He shoved all-in and I called with top pair. He showed 23 off suit. Turn 3. River 2. I losed with Qs vs 2 pairs 2s and 3s. Cool right?

Anyway try FT try 6max and see yourself which one fits you. It doesnt rly matter. Some people choose 6 max so they dont need to wait 8 players full-time thinking should they fold their 72o or no.

Personally, I like to play on PokerStars. But I would recommend to other poker rooms to play for money. Since at PokerStars and ful tilt many players with a good level of play.

It is mas easily to win in fulltilt, they are players with less experience what does that you have major opportunities to come to final table and to do yourself of good prizes
