I've been trying light 3-betting lately, and after some big disasters i think i've got it down. The red line is going up more quickly then before.

Graph (last 5k hands or so):

The question I have is, how far should i go? Because I don't want anyone to exploit me back.

What is the fold to 3bet% you go for when doing this?

What range of hands do you do that with?

What is the hand sample you like to have?

How many regs at the micros (specifically 2NL) do you think have Manager or Poker Tracker these days (so that they know what kind of stats I have or that they know how much I 3bet)?

Also, how much do you think light 3-betting can add to someones winrate at 2NL in the long run?

Thanks

I think that with a 1000+ sample size should be thw minimum. What I suggest you is to have the ATS and fold vs resteal, because there are players that open their range too much on stealing position but don't adjust their 3bet calling range and 4bet range and they can fold like 80% to 3bets im CO, BTN and SB. You need to know who you are 3beting and positions of both villian and yours are also important

Nice to see that you are also implementing this. I have also changed my 3-bet ratio at 5NL zoom from 3% to 8-9% and see a lot of fold. But i'm careful about it, it isn't free money.

When do you 3bet?
