Hi guys,

Let me give you a short introduction:

I've been playing poker for a few months online now, at 2NL.
I busted my first 3 bankrolls, ( due to lack of BRM and tilt )
2 months ago I wanted to take it seriously, so i deposited $70, with the intention to start at 2NL and grind it up to 40 buy-ins for 25NL.
Now I played 2NL FullRing a month, and I kept breaking even. So I decided to buy PokerTracker, maybe it would help me to see what I am doing wrong.
It's like everytime I am up a few buyins in a session, I fall down, and stop with 0 profits.

Here is my Graph:

zygh0o.png

And here are my Stats:

Please help me out guys, would be much much appriciated! :)

Have a great day,

I think your VIP / PRF has too big gab

I would prefer 17-15 for fullring maybe 16-14 or 18-15

with less gab you are playing the easy way .

and WTSD I think should max be 25.

3bet 6 ish at fullring or even 7 .

that is what I can see from this stats .

for your graf looks like you fall in love with the the next best hand to much .

you should absolut not have so crasy swings at 2NL FR

if u cant win at show down then u cant beat 2NL

showdown is where you win at micros

1 question

what u like the best zoom or normal tables?

I really think zoom for 95% players just up being clicking autopilot poker , very fun game , but much more money in normal ones .

or I just click in zoom /speed hold after some time.

you wanna talk stragedy at Skype?

You are too nit and passive and most likely you do not know how to play against different type of players. I suggest you use another 30$ and buy the Blackrain79 book "Crushing the micros". Read it carefully and you will be able to beat 2NL easy.

Thanks guys,

I know I have trouble with TPTK, I tend to overvalue it.
I think that belongs to not being good at pot control.

About showdown value, when i flop a set or 2pair etc. I can't really get value out of it, mayve a problem with valuebetting?
How would you guys bet/potcontrol Top pair and sets
Thanks for your time!

I read that book of blackrain last week but I have trouble using it in my game somehow.
I usually multitable 10-20 tables, maybe I should lower that?

Yes i would like talking strategy over skype, if you are interested please pm your skypename!

I like normal tables better, zoom stats where just 1 session.

Appriciate it!

Stop playing so many tables. You aren't good enough for it, as your stats and graph indicate.

Stop calling so much. Never limp. Valuebet/don't bluff.

Most value you can get is 6max cash imo.
People have to play more hands. More hands= more leaks. FR is boring.
How is your hud set up?

hi there, i wouldnt be too worried about brm at this stage...youve only been playing a few months so you are just learning at the moment...the money you deposited is not a br its your learning money...when you get experience and start to do well at the level then you can think about brm and getting to 5nl...so just keep playing and be happy that you havent had to deposit again....also it would be good to forget the money and just concentrate on learning...all the good stuff will happen naturally if you do the right things....also from looking at your stats i think your your vpip/pfr could be slightly higher...maybe 18/15 or something...and about 21/18 for 6max...also your att steals are too low...75% would be a good number and your fold to steals is too high...try 3betting against steals more instead of giving them up too easily...obviously depending on the player...if its a tag or nit then you can usually defend quite good against their steals and just 3bet them and re steal....but yeah, forget about profits just now, just learn the game and try and avoid depositing...the cheaper the education the better for yourself, and so far so good...gl and keep learning

I agree with AlfieAA. Your sample small is pretty small still, so you shouldn't be too bothered by your BRM and other stats. Once you build a larger portfolio, then those numbers will carry more weight.

A new player & suggesting attempt steal of 75%. Umm... isn't that insanely high?

Glad to hear. And the thing is, once you understand how to start beating NL2, NL5 etc and it becomes second nature to you, then you can start scaling up the tables again. Literally all of my results in those games is from 24 tabling. But I figured out how to wreck these games when I first started by 4 tabling. All the best at the tables.

Learn to play a solid TAG game. Doing so will allow you to win at 2nl and will also give you a decent foundation upon which to build and improve your game. Play full ring if tables are available since you're under less pressure to play modest hands.

dont know if its high for a new player, maybe yeah...could all get abit confusing, maybe better to just learn the basics first then get into that stuff abit later...or maybe he knows how the stats work and if thats the case then 75% is pretty good imo...i think you can get away with steals at a high percentage at most tables unless the villian in the bb is a aggrospewer that will call/raise anything, then you can narrow the steal range...but you usually get a rock/tag or a nit sitting in that place so you can open up quite alot when its unopened on the button...

75% is insanely high. FWIW I open 70% of my BTNs and 25% of my COs and my Att to steal sits in the 40-45 range.

You might be getting confused Alfie.

Your sample size is extremely small and meaningless for long term projections on your winrate. How many hands have you played in total and what are your results?

Problems with your stats

1) Gap between VPIP and PFR is too large. Should be 2 or 3 points at the most. Call less, Fold or 3bet more
2) WTSD is too high. Go to SD quite a bit less. Be more aggro postflop. Stop calling so much
3) AF is low. See #2
4) Fold to 3bets more especially when out of position
5) Steal twice as much as you currently do
6) Fold your blinds more often or 3bet
