Hi Guys,
Just to introduce myself, my name is Adam and I'm from the UK. I play micro/small stakes zoom on Stars, mixed with a few MTTS and MTSNG's every now and then. Anyway I'll get straight to the point... I've recently been grinding up a small roll ($100) to get to a point where I can play 50NL ZOOM again, which I played succesfully earlier in the year until I took a break for personal reasons.
Anyway, I've beaten the 5,10 & 16NL Zoom limits playing a quite loose/ aggressive style for decent win rates - most recently 16NL for 9bb/100 over 60k hands. My Non showdown winning are slightly negative and Showdown winnings hugely positive throughout these four limits, which is the norm. But as I've moved up to 25NL I have found that my showdown winnings have decreased dramatically and my non showdown are very positive. I know that doesn't really matter as long as my green line is positive but I'm only winning at 1bb/100 after 25k hands and I just wondered if anybody else had gone through something similar after moving up a limit. I don't feel as if I have adjusted my play too much. The only real difference I think is that maybe the regs at 16NL are a lot more passive than at 25NL and therefor I generally only re-raise with very strong draws or 2pair plus whereas against 25NL regs, I will be more aggressive with a wider range of hands. i.e. gutshots, backdoor draws, etc as I don't want to call with these hands against aggressive opponents, plus I feel that players at 25NL make far better folds on the river.
I'm not actually sure what I'm asking here but I think if I can increase my showdown winnings to a point where it is positive (lol), then i'd be crushing the limit. But as it stands, the only time I get to showdown is when I'm behind. When I'm ahead and I bet for value, more often than not they fold. Maybe I'm value betting too thin and losing money? Can anybody offer me an insight to the key differences between 16 and 25NL please?
Thanks in advance
