First hand at new table and I get AK from cutoff.....it gets raised to $1 in front of me I raise to 3 and then small blind pushes for $23.6 and the original raiser reshoves for $55. Do I call here with AK offsuit. I started hand with $25.

definite fold against 2 unknowns both seem really strong here and i'd put one at least on AA/KK, considering that and the equity of your hand against that range should be an easy fold

Fold. You don't have enough equity here unless one or both of them are willing to push a wide range, which you don't know yet.

I wanna know deeper poker math...can one of you point me in the right direction...maybe something I can read because I was reading a thread earlier today about 4betting preflop with a wide range and I couldnt even fold any of the terminology or the shorthand

If you wanna get into advanced poker math you can read Mathematics of Poker by Bill Chen, but that's a pretty dry book with pretty cumbersome math. Other books with good math insights are Let There Be Range (which is lol expensive, but available in PDF format for free), and John A's new book.

you will end up going against queens and another AK most of the time. needless to say, you will most likely get blocked to glory. easy fold
