Hi! i was wondering which are the main differences moving up to 50nl from ur experience. if im beating 25nl solidly is there a chance i get crushed? ive heard that 50 and 100nl contain many rec players but i think that should be excessive and ill come across many good regs. im i gonna be able to maintain at least a 3/100 or 25nl are the last fishy stakes? any strategy tips will be appreciated!

At ever level of poker you will find rec players and pros. You have to be confident in your game. You have to put the time in to improve and be committed to getting better. If you are properly rolled for $50 nlhe I say go for it. If it doesn't work out, move back down, build it up again and try again later.

^^^ This. Great response!

The game isn't significantly harder, but you can expect it to be a little harder. Depending on where you play, you might find more regs at 25NL than 50NL, or vice versa. Playing against regs is something you can't really avoid, especially as you move up. And just because someone is a reg doesn't mean they're a good reg -- many regs are highly exploitable by thinking players. There are certain regs I actually seek out to play against.

If your 25NL game is solid and you practice good BRM, you shouldn't have a problem moving up.

Not sure how much of an effect, but 50 is a far more attractive number for recreational players. 25 seems out of place, 16 even more so.

Then again, most players dont deal with USD directly anyway so prolly not important.

Wonder how it was pre-Black Friday when American fishes poured in by the thousands?

Well, maybe to a poker nut like us.

Don't I frequently people go like "I bet you 50 you can't do this and that"

Or maybe I watch too much TV

Moving up is not the same for everyone. Different people move up smoothly vs. encountering different degrees of difficulty at different levels. You won't know how this particular move will go for you until you try.
