Hello,

I just moved from tournaments to grinding cash tables. I'm at the .25 NL tables now. Do these players think anywhere past level 1? Are they trying to put me on a hand yet at these levels. I know there will be some grinders thinking on level 2 or even 3. But for the most part, should I never bluff? And what is a reasonable bb/100 hands if I just ABC it up and absolutely never bluff including no c-bets at all?

thanks,

Justin

1) Wtf, everyone c-bets. I c-bet at 2NL, and you should too.
2) Depends on the player as to what level they're on. Don't try to put everyone into one category. At 25NL, you'll start encountering some regs.

Hi,

Even at the lower stakes it is always a good idea to cbet, although - just as at the higher levels - you shouldn't be Cbeting BY DEFAULT. Definitely in MOST cases, but not in every case. It needs to be adjusted sometimes, depending on the player and sometimes the flop.

As for the general level of thinking, I can't say because I haven't played NL25 in quite a while, but I do believe their knowledge is very basic. They generally don't bluff a lot in my opinion.

I would imagine there are alot of aggressive regulars. Hell im playing 10NL on fulltilt and there are many....lately half the time I make a steal attempt from the button i get 3 bet from the bb.

There seems to be some myth that hardly anyone 3bets at 10NL well I can tell u thats certainly not the case.

I dont think "never bluff" is the right way to go.

You should DEFINATELY be c-betting when its appropriate.

YES, lots of players at 25nl are good enough to exploit you here. I would.

Even at 10nl.

agreed I play 10nl on fulltilt also...Id like to add that a well played check raise also works wonders for a steal or at least a cooler on a maniac...so many donks that think any pair will win.

C-bets are not bluffs.

C-bets are collection of dead money.

If you think of c-bets as bluffs you end up with all kinds of self leveling problems where you begin to think your raise size has some bearing of what hands your opponent folds and how you should play the turn.
