Hey CC members! Wanted to make a cash thread to help keep me goal oriented and focus on the main goal which for me is to get better than my opponents and make a lot of money while doing and moving up in stakes. Been playing for about 2 years now and feel like after so many hands I'm finally getting it. I am a slight winner live but I haven't played anything over $200. I play tourneys well just hate the variance and super long hours. I have done really well in live cash but never really did the BRM thing (had to learn the hard way!) I will be playing cash, mostly online some live. My bankroll is $500 I will be using the 20 buyin BRM system. So as of now 25 nl. Twice a week I will play a few tourneys because I play at BlackChip Poker and tourneys and sit n gos are pretty soft. My main goal is to improve in leaks and move up up UP!! I will most my two most troubling hands from each session.

I'm just getting my feet wet in 25 NL. With that being said not a bad session last night considering there wasn't that many fish around. I had 4-5 regs at the tables, which is find starting off might as well identify and classify all of the regs from the start. Leakbuster says I should open more as PFR and call less to close the gap between VPIP-PFR. I made this adjustment and they started getting 3b a ton. played a $22 satty to $100k Top 3 get a seat fell short in 5th. starting bankroll before session $469-End of session $500 +$30 profit. Stats:Hands 1074: VPIP 17.5: PFR 13.6: 3B 6.81

 Played about 1500 hands last night 4 tabling 25 nl. Learned a lesson about being exploited while trying raise from button and cut off. Seems evrytime I raised I was getting 3b tried to counter by a lil 4 betting but just got shoved on. It was mostly TAGS and WHALES. I ran terribly. Probly the worst cash session I had online so far. Im down 4 buy ins. Bankroll is at $400 if I get down to $300 I will move down. But I still got 4 buy ins to try to fix this. Soon session was done I went straight to deuces cracked to look up on facing 3b and 4b light. I definetly think I can get past this and wont have to move down

Also I think the only way to get over this hump is volume and study with that being said BlackChip runs a cash point race its about at least $2500 for 1st. I'm going to put in a full time schedule and see how far I can move up the race and get extra cash. They do it every week. with that kind of volume I should be able to get used to the regs and there tendencies.

ok, i'll bite.

Hand 1: what does a 37/9 4x UTG with then overbet that flop with that you beat? we need to think past 'we have an overpair' and give UTG a range, and most of that range crushes us tbf. easy fold :)

Hand 2: we can raise a bit bigger OTT and probably a bit bigger on the river too considering what we're trying to get value from (Qx) most of which never fold unless to some ridiculous bet.

about your last post, what hands are you 4betting? do you have stats?

I would move down now honestly and work on your leaks there.

depends what their range is. do you have a HUD? because PT4 has a note tracker that keeps note of things like that so you can look it up next time you get in that spot.

personally I 4bet blockers like A3/A8 etc, stuff i cant flat IP since most regs are either 3b/5b or 3b folding.

we should be flatting IP as well with most broadways, 77+ and some of our nut range to keep us balanced.

also if a regs got like 3% 3bet then he's never really light, make note

If you're 4 betting you really want the absolute premiums AA KK QQ AKs, or a solid read on villain and a very high chance to get him to fold if you're holding weaker hands. I'm not a fan of creating 4 bet ranges that were confident playing pots with.

Position is key. Personally I hate flatting 3bets OOP, 4 betting OOP without top premiums is just going to be so spewy. IP we can splash around a bit more. Fire continuation bets and barrel etc. If they're in the blinds just flat, were happy to play IP, or if you've got premiums, 4 bet.

It shouldn't be that much of a problem if they're in the blinds, it's when they're to your left and have position on you which is when things get more complicated. Anyone with less than 7%3bet you shouldnt be messing around with really.

I purchased Leak Buster 4 and it analyzes your hands for you and they have videos to help improve your leaks and potential leaks. But the best part I like was the Leakbuster 6 max HUD, it comes with color code and video on how to use all the stats. I didn't even know about turn and river aggression stats, squeeze%, and W$WSF. I'm so excited, it just made this game I love even more fun and interesting!!
