***2011 Results/2012 Goals Thread***

Well its a day early, but i'm not going to get much volume in tonight or tomorrow so thought I'd start this thread, as my personal poker year is pretty much over.

Not sure about my results pre May, as I had a computer die on me and loss of DB, before BF I was on a stake anyways which started around Jan time I think, so these results are pretty much my whole year going it alone.

This thread might not get much love this year because of all the US guys not playing as much but I feel like setting yearly goals last year helped me tons so if this serves no purpose for anyone else, at least I have set-out my plan and reviewed my year!

So this year has been a good one imo, I set myself the goal of being rolled and shot taking 25nl this year, its not a lofty goal, but i'm a rec player with a family so having an achievable goal is more important for me. I started my roll off again after transferring money back post- BF playing 2nl with nothing but ring game tickets on FTP, and then a $40 transfer from a generous CC'er. I'm delighted to say that tonight or tomorrow I may play a session and add 1 or 2 tables of 25nl, as my roll is now at $475 on stars

Goals for 2012

- Be (at least) shot taking 50nl

- Keep concentrating on improving my game

- Stick to 9 tables max of FR

- Have a 2k year

Made about $1,000 from poker this year including live tournys and online. Next year i'd like to be shotting 50PLO but playing 25PLO with ease. Also i'd like to go back to spain for at least 3 weeks. Hopefully this time I can get the internet so can do a bit of grinding when I get bored.

Only have a months worth of hands as I stopped playing earlier in the year and had a name change name. Up about $140 so far but hopefully more in a couple days. Hoping for a big year in 2012 but will post again in detail later.

In all honesty, a pretty good year for me. I opened my first ever online poker account in Jan, found CC and promptly discovered I didn't know anything. In Feb I began learning to play at 2NL FR. By the end of the year I'm a vaguely competent reg at 50NL 6max on a BR comprised solely of winnings.

I want to thank CC and the guys I've met through it for a lot of that.

This year's goals:-

1) move up (obv), probably start shot taking at 100NL soonish, with an eye on being a winning reg at 200NL by end of year. Yes, it's a tall order, but I feel as though the only thing that can stop me now is complacency.

2) more sex.

Make $100 profit at $0.01/0.02 and move up a step.
2000 hands a week minimum.

didn't play nearly enough, 18k hands at 5nl, 27$ winnings

2012:

Play more, 4k hands a month
Play better, improve as fast as cafeman
Move up, 10nl maybe 25 if first two goals are reached
Post on CC more, which will come if I reach goal 1 and will help for goal 2

2 days in, 1500 hands played, good start ...

2011:
Didn't go thru my spreadsheet to separate my cash games vs tournaments. I played 181 distinct sessions with some sessions being on the same day (tourney followed by cash for example). Ended 2011 +$2749

2012:
Create separate spreadsheets for both cash and tournaments. Also begin tracking time and thus win rate. Play in more $2/$5 games and larger tournament buy-ins. Start and keep up a thread on my live grind. Carve out some dedicated study time.

I will chime in here even thought most of the people in this thread have posted more times than I have sat on the pot.

Made my first deposit this year of $125 to a bodog account in August. Currently looking to move to another site sense the "takeover" (any suggestions would be appreciated). Cashed out $750 bucks mid Dec and still have ~$550 there. So that puts me at ~$1100 profit since I began.

Made most of the money from MTTs while realizing I am a terrible cash game player. Due to work and family obligations I don't get to play as many MTTs as I would like because they take so long.

Goals for 2012:
1) Work on my cash game play (just broke thru to $25nl)
2) Move to another site
3) Learn how to use a HUD
4) Post some hands in the cash game analysis thread
5) Set apart some time each week to look thru hand histories (after I learn to use HUD
6) Become more involved in the forum

Posted some of my goals in the cash game thread but here goes....

1. Make at least 15k profit
2. Be at 50nl by the summer
3. Learn to better study my own HH
4. Buy HEM 2 after the trial period.

Hopefully these goals will be revised by the summer because I already met them.
