so after about an idk a 1 hour poker sesh on stars. I found my self on tilt playing 1/2c watching people go all in with 10A off suit and being called by 3 other people with hands rangeing from 10 8 off suit and lower. To be folded out on the button with AA or folded out when i min raise my bb with 10 10. My patience for the game went dull and i jumped to a 30$ heads up tourny with a bankroll of 45.... I no I no BADDD MOVE!! and im not here to justify my actions. My question is do i have hope with a 2$ bankroll and if so what do i do?

I built from $3 on 4NL tables all the way up to the $160 that I have currently. It's possible but like CRX said, you'll need to be a luck box for a week or so. Just try to play smart.

solid, ABC poker at 2nl is a must. Yeah you get lots of idiots playing ATC, but if you cant beat 2nl, then give up now.

lol, yes, i ve bult my roll from $2; variance can be a real female dog,
the .01/.02 are so aggravating to lose to stuff like 38off , but that is where i make the br grow, patience is everything; lol

someetimes i think i am so how dumber after having sat in at that level and watched ppl. Most of the time i'll only play 2-3 hands an hour on a 10 max/ more though on a 6max; but on those hands is where it matters.

1 other thing don't let it tilt u,

so much of what happens is taking it "personally". . .i know i've read somewhere that an inflated ego is death to solid play,

I've had these horrible players actual tell me that I sucked, I asked why and guy told me; 'because u hardly play any hands". . .lol
impatience or playing down to their level is not good, abc poker, understand that they usually have no logic behind what they do, other than mayb suited cards look pretty.. . . .

My question is do i have hope with a 2$ bankroll and if so what do i do?

One always have hope with a bankroll albeit with a good discipline and br management. What you did joining the HU tourney is a mistake, but everyone does it at a point in their poker lives.I've done it(but I luckbox it,lol).

What do you do?
Keep grinding 2NL,till it hits 30-40BI for 5NL(depends on your comfort).
If you're non US,stick with Stars
-lowest rake
-tonnes of fish at 2NL
-software (bad software can tilt you)

Hope? Yeah. Realistic chances of growing a br? Not so much. Just keep playing and see what happens. Be good to lady luck, mayhaps she will favor you.

Having a br like that means that you only need variance to kick in once and you are wiped out, it is possible but you need skill as well as luck to build up from that point. I've going from $30 (deposit) to $0 to $20 (deposit) to $45 to $15 to $70 to $30 to $80 to $65 (now) . Any big swing and your br will be wiped out.

thats crap, if you're a competent player then you deal with the swings and win and move up.

Was that aimed at me? If it was then my point was he can't deal with swings with that br so he has to hit a lucky run.

I took $8 to $120 currently simply by playing 2nl 6max and 9max. I had no lucky runs, just played premium hands and good positional play. It can be done, even allowing for downswings.

Ton of luck and patience beyond belief.
Anything is possible but very unlikely, Nit up and see where it take you.
Good Luck with the variance and ATC poker.

At the .02/.04; building back a BR is very doable w/ only $2,
Completely agree w/ u keruacs dog; I should know, as I never risk more than a certain amount in a given day,
Keep playing some freerolls in the mean time is my advice;

and practice discipline and patience, I def. don't always but i do know it is the only way. If i get pizzed off I just get up for a minute or how ever long it takes to chill out. If i am losing too much and r shifting (tilting) everygood or bad decision at the table becomes hyper intensified. say i lose a couple dollars or euros (whatever): it is immediate, but in no way reflects a month long ROI let alone a 4 month ROI.

Im just suggesting that it is certainly possible to build from even less than $2.

Yes it can be done but get cold decked a few times kk<aa,qq<ak,or 2\3outed once or twice an game over. You have to run good(run good your 80\20-70\30 hold up etc.) in the start to be able to build a roll.Simple as that

too many negative posters in this thread, it can be done, loads of people have ground up from nothing or near nothing, no problem. BelgoSuisse (CCer) went from I believe zero via freerolls to $10,000 and counting. Ferguson did it very publicly(sp?)

I agree, but if you're a competent player then it balances out that you can build ur br within strict management. yeah you might get cold-decked, but you also might get hot-decked, if thats a phrase?

With a 2 dollar bankroll imo you have two options:
1. play cash and do "hit and runs"
2. play MTTs and make a final table

i would go for option two its your best bet. i think a decent player can cash in a low stake game np. just watchout for the suckouts, and if you do get donked out dont be mad, just smile and say nh because in the long run you want that action everytime..
Hope that helps and GL!!!
