2/2 LHE Adjustments
My local cardroom offers a number of cash games. When I go, I most frequently play 2/2 LHE ($1 SB and $2 BB with no change in bet size after the turn). I have always seemed to do pretty well. However, while I used to be a pretty good player with strong fundamentals and theoretical understanding, I suspect my winning had more to do with abysmal play by opponents than my skills. At least concerning 2/2 LHE, anyway.
Since Black Friday I have played very, very infrequently (live or online). I'm considering going down this week and playing some 2/2 LHE. What adjustments (generally) should I make in starting hand selection and post flop play?
Obviously the lack of a bet size increase makes it profitable to call draws in more situations, but what about widening hand selection? Do the increased odds
you will frequently get when calling draws mean you should open up hand selection? My instinct is to say no, because those hands are no stronger in the opening rounds than they would be in a 2/4 LHE game. I just wanted feedback because, like I said above, it's been a long, long time since my prime playing days.
