Pocket 2s, is worth going forward for I would say if the Blinds are very high and no one has raised the pot, but if you dont get any luck on the flop, its not worth going for unless everyone checks or you out bluff them :)

I agree....if I'm in late position I'll make a small raise to the limpers to steal the blinds...
heads up bet 1/2 pot usually works:)

I only limp in with 22, the odds of hitting a set are not good at all, and any other hand has at least one overcard (95% of the time two). So basically the only time you are a favorite preflop with 22 is if you are heads up against a player with two overcards. If there is a multi-way pot, more possible overcards are added to the mix of the ones that could beat you. Also, any pocket pair absolutely owns 22.

Usually just call 2's before the flop

Unless of course you are heads up, or in late position. And whatever you do, don't get cute. That goes for any pocket pair pre-flop.

When ever I have low pocket pairs (2, 3, 4, or 5) I always get suckered in and lose on any hand cuz basically any pair would beat them
That's why i hate low pocket pairs unless you flop a set.

22

is there any reason to go on with 22-

low pocket pr. after flop?? when you do not hit.

for example-a mim. raise, or lots of

callers, like 5ppl, or maybe if you

think bettor is try to pick up pot??

thanks for any ideas.

pocket 2s is not a very good hand, against terrible players it may be good if u know theyre bluffing or a 2 hits the board.. other than that it sucks

I usually fold pocket 2's unless I am playing heads up. Why spend the blind when you know you will fold after the flop unless you hit another 2 which is rare. I just don't even try to play them. I would rather have a J 10 or 89.

I love a pair of ducks. If your in position and are paying a cheap flop, then you will get good pot odds.

If no set is flopped, then it's an easy fold. When a set does fall (with an ace or king on the board), you will likely win big cash. Hopefully you don't run into a higher set, straight, or flush. I'd bet hard against any potential draws.

heads up might be worth a big bet but in a full ring game in early position (depending on the table) I would probally just let them go. because any card on the board can pretty much pair up and stomp you in the dirt.

I have l;ost so many times with 22 it's not funny... Tried slow playing, tried raising pre flop, the only thing that works for me is tossing them

22 is only good heads up or if you can see a cheap flop and hit a set. Other than that they are pure muck.

I call 2 2 doo-doo for a reason, it's a shitty starting hand. It's worth seeing the flop of course, cuz you never know when that rare trip will appear, but don't pay too much to see the flop. Just remember, anyone at that table could pair anything on the flop and that would immediately beat you--it's tough--pocket pairs are always seductive, but this one always seems to bring me more pain than pleasure.:s:

KA vs 2 2 Is 49% to 51% odds to win, if I'm not mistaken.

KA (Suited) is the best possible non pair hand.

I don't like 2 2.

If you don't get a 2, you're pretty much dead, at least in a 10 person table.

You can't get a higher pair, you can't get a flush unless four of the suit come up, in which case someone else most likely beats your 2 of that suit, you will probably not get a straight.

Of course, it IS a pocket pair, so if I can get in to the flop cheaply, I do.
