Been taking cash more seriously recently and a situation which seems to come up quite often.
I am in early positon with something like AK or AQ suited or medium pocket pair. I raise 3x and get a call from late position. The flop comes down and i miss completely.
My default play would be to c-bet about half pot, and at this point the villain flat calls.
The turn is a brick.
Do i continue or shut down. I have played about 6k of hands (which is not a lot) and more often than not when i have continued to bet i have lost the pot to a bigger pair.
My early observation villains don't fold pocket pairs often enough to make it profitable to keep betting.
Any thoughts for a new cash game player would be appreciated.
