There are some 10nl guides in the Golden Archives section of CC and I was wondering if they're still good to use today? I most interested in the icemonkey and ChuckTs guides.

I know that play has improved since the years since the guides were posted, but is their a huge difference in skill at 10nl between then and now?

And if so, do you have any guide or book recommendations for 10nl?

Thanks!

I don't know much about the golden archives, but like zhendos said there are tons of micro stake tips on youtube.

I think that YouTube is the best place to go. You'll learn more from actually watching people beat 10NL than you will from reading a book and not seeing it all happen in action.

I don't fully agree with that.
I like seeing all written out in a precise manner, formula's and all.
I'm more of the opinion of first doing some studying, then seeing it in action..
That being said, you do indeed reach a point where watching plays will be better than reading just another book which tells the same as the last five books :)

When I was studying for my maths exams, I was always told that active revision is far better than passive revision. You'll do far better in tests/exams if you spend your revision time actively solving questions and smashing through practice exams than you will if you spend your time reading through a textbook and trying to memorise formulas. I feel like poker works much the same way. It helps to have a little bit of background in the theory and to read some strategy guides, but you want to be spending the majority of your time getting active experience: playing poker hands and watching YouTube videos of poker tables in action with live commentary. You're not going to become a professional poker player just by reading book after book. You just need to dive in, watch the pros do it and then imitate them as best as you can. Your primary goal should be to get volume in, because volume = experience. Play/watch as many hands as possible. It helps to do some hand analysis after each session, as well as reading up some strategy guides and discussing ideas every once in a while, but volume should be your primary focus. Learn actively, not passively.
