Why do they do this? Usually bb is 2x sb. How does this change how you play? maybe be a bit more tighter on sb and more aggressive in stealing blinds when you're on the button?

It's no different than say 2/5 blinds, and it makes virtually no difference in the grand scheme of things playing full stacked poker. Open raising for a pot sized bet would be 3.4 blinds as opposed to 3.5... heh. Sure there'd be a little bit of range tweaking from someone trying to take a game theory optimal approach on the table but anyone doing so in a game where the big blind is literally 25 cents is sort of missing the point.

In a way, you have to change your strategy with those blinds.

Agree your statement above where sb should be tighter and stealing blinds if warrants is good.

A lot of 25NL players could certainly stand to tighten up somewhat out of the SB. They'd save themselves a fair bit of money, and it has nothing to do with the minute difference in blind structure.

Posted from my phone before but I have a little time now to elaborate a bit on what I mean. A lot of people tend to think the money they put into the pot is still theirs - at least until they fold. In live games I hear people talk about how they can't fold to a river bet because they've invested do much into the pot already. This sort of flawed thinking has nothing at all to do with whether they should call a river bet. Same thing with blinds. It's gone once you post it. You're paying 1.4 blinds instead of 1.5 to play an orbit at the table but that doesn't pertain to the SB specifically. Stealing more aggressively from the BTN because the pot is a tenth of a blind smaller doesn't make any sense either.

The number of hands you choose to get involved with should depend on much more relevant factors like relative position, the stats of your opponents, and so forth.
