Have a question and i am wondering if I am making the right play on this situation that commonly occurs.

On the button with pocket twos, raise to 17 from utg, utg2 calls 17, utg 3 calls 17, I call the 17 with pocket twos.

I have 180 behind, other stacks are in the range of 100-400. So is this a profitable call? Should I be set mining in this situation?

i'm guessing this is always the right call here?

Yes this is fine IMO.

We have position. We have a great price. We have 10x behind. Multiway spots are great for setmining.

I wouldn't go much lower than 10x implied odds though. And if we miss set, it's a give up. No FPS or trying to bluff post.

Depends on how the blinds have been playing, if they have been squeezing a lot then despite the price its probably a fold.

But if they have been pretty passive I'd say your fine calling.

Why not going all in with pocket aces? You all ready have potential caller, pre raiser guy, right?

too much player into hand, viewing flop, its not profitable position for just a call.

Yeah you are getting a great price here to set mine but be wary of competent players looking to squeeze in the blinds.

fold 22 and wait for a better spot 10 percent of your stack with 22 is losing long run
