Lol you shouldn't be concerned with balancing unless you're playing in the nosebleeds or against very solid regs that will actually exploit you, who don't exist in great numbers by the way. You're playing 1/2 live donkey kongs. Value bet more and bluff less. Playing exploitable against these players wins you the most money.
I imagine that a 30% VPIP live is a little loose with the limping-fest that's present almost every hand. You're entering pots without initiative, can't take down the pot pre, and have a decent ampunt of marginal holdings in your range that aren't profitable without the initiative/super ridiculous pot odds and implied odds (yes, those soooooted one-gappers/connectors). I raise about 45-50% OTB if it's unopened online, but your raising range should be pretty tight live since there's almost always going to be limpers and callers. 3-bet range should strictly for value: JJ+/AK. Unless you have a person who opens light and has a high fold to 3-bet AND almost everyone else at the table is nitty, which is very uncommon live from what I've heard.
Just wondering what range of hands you are limping behind/calling behind/calling vs a single raise with OTB?
Also it's not just about the amount of equity you have in the hand. It's whether a play is +EV or not. Lots of hands give you reverse implied odds multi-way and simply don't play well multi-way, which I assume is super common 1/2 live.
