OK,
I just put in a small session at 10nl. This isn't bad, but there are a few things that bother me.
First, why only one table? I am a real degenerate. I used to play 3-4 tables of Rush back when I had that available to me. My one table session was about 205 hands/hour. I can four table regular 6-max and get 350-400 hands/hour pretty easily.
The "Check/Fold Now" option from the Big Blind. I expected this to work in the following way, "I click it and then it waits for the first action that would enable a fold (a raise), then it insta-folds me." How it actually seems to work, "Insta-folds me regardless of the action in front of me." I guess that's not a huge deal, I just won't use that from the Big Blind.
This seems a lot slower than Rush. I was playing with a pool of 60-65 players. Maybe it's because there aren't hundreds of players like Rush used to have. But, I often had to wait a few seconds for a table to fill after folding. A few SECONDS! Do you know what horrible pain that can inflict on a true degenerate like myself?
Only being able to play as high as 10nl is a pain, too. Less hands at a lower limit than I currently play. . . hard for me to find a reason to keep playing. Note: I am still down for playing 5nl tonight. I was just saying that I can't see making this my regular game until they bring higher limits and multiple tables.
Last thing is just me being paranoid and having selective memory, but am I the only one who seems to be getting hit by the small blind twice as often as the big blind? After I load the session into PT4 I will be able to verify if this was actually happening. But, it sure seemed like it was.
It isn't bad. I am happy they are bringing this option. I just hope that it is currently in the small roll-out stages and we'll see these above things go away once they are sure everything is working as desired. I really want multiple entries and higher games.
