Today, playing a ring game 5/10c I mis-clicked and called somebodies all-in RR with my 72o lol - luckily only lost about $4..

About half an hour later, playing a ring game at 25/50c level, took $25 to the table, I limped with J9 - got all my money in the pot with what I though was the nuts straight I pushed with - the opponent had the second nuts straight. Turned out I mis-read the screen and was only drawing .

So lost $29 about in mis-clicks and mis-reads :( - I made $10 earlier today so luckily my bankroll is only dented by about $19 :)

It happened the other day, I was chip leader in a torny - with 2nd chip leader with only about 8 chips less, RR pre-flop with AT with 1 caller who was the 2nd chip leader. 2nd leader pushed UTG - I clicked 'Fold' - well, went for fold, accidentally clicked call and lost lol - needless to say, my 80 chips remaining didn't last much longer :).

Luckily, mis-reads and mis-clicks is usually VERY VERY rare thank god :)

So there are some annoying and possibly embarrassing things I have done during poker...
So maybe you guys can share your biggest losses or gains through such mistakes or tell of your embarrassing moments where you ****ed up in a similar way.

Needless to say, non of your stories is likely to beat Brutus's Full House Fold :)

I was in a 3200 MTT online, $2 buy-in. We were down to the final 14 people, and I was about 6th in chips. As I was about to click a link the table window popped up and I called the 5th in chips pre-flop all in. I had 3c7c, he had AA. Flop came out 7 7 3, turn and river didn't help him and I took it down. I ended up finishing 5th that tourney, but that must have hurt him so much. I apologized but what can you do?

20 or 30 dollar buy in on sportsbook to a 10k gaurenteed tournament. I'm right near the money and my stack is near a healthy 4.5k or so at this point, right in the middle of things. At this point, I'm also multi-tasking and playing a cash game. In the cash game I get Q's so I start raising, and right as I do so the tournament window pops up at the exact moment and I end up calling a 3k stack all-in with my 92o. 92! I understand how I could get unlucky but I get one of the worst hands in poker for this mixup. I still ended up finishing in the money and doubling my entry but I could've faired much much better.

Have you never thought of staggering your games so though even if it does pop up, you will not actually click on bet/call/fold?

just an idea

Playing live in vegas I checked the nut flush on the end one time: had top pair (AQs), and there was a flush draw out on the flop as well. I bet, bet, then checked the river when the flush didn't hit, not even noticing that it had come runner runner for MY suit. D'oh!

Checked nut flush on the end once (caught runner runner), thought I had a straight in PLO, and wondered why I lost to a set before realizing I only had a 4 straight (lost some $ too :()

There have been multiple times the touch pad on my laptop has been off causing me to accidentally do something I haven't wanted to do. However, there is not one memorable time that really cost me. I think it may be time to invest in a mouse.

Not too costly (about $3), but pretty embarrassing. .5/.10 nlhe ring game at Ultimatebet:
Had pocket AAs. Raised preflop, got 2 callers. Flopped a beautiful set. One caller bets and I raise. Turn comes neutral. I bet again. Another neutral card on the river. My villain bets, I'm pretty excited, gonna raise him all in (yippee!) and I accidentally hit the Fold/Show button.
Not only did I fold the nuts, I showed everyone what an idiot I am. :pcguru:

HAHA I got a good one.. So I raise preflop right..well reraise this guy who is just totally bullying the table. I have a decent amount of money at the table (won't go into how much) so he just calls my reraise. Flop comes aa2. I'm holding 2 3 suited (LOL) So I bet. Well he comes overtop being the Bully he had been being. So I reraise all in. Oh he folds here for sure..Wrong. Guy has pocket aa quads gg missread =) very embarrising

Wanted to get my iPod out safe, so I wanted to press the 'remove hardware' button, just when my screen pops up. I was playing at pacific poker at the time, and for some reason they always have a all in button (why???), which I obviously pressed with my 62o from UTG. Someone decided call me for a full buyin with AJs (again, WHY?) and I didn't suck out :(. Good thing it was only 10NL.

Tournament with BB 40 and I had about 1800. I got something good like AK and was first to act. I clicked in the bet window and keyed 160 - enter. However, I had clicked before the zero and actually bet 1600. Very glad nobody called.

THANK YOU BRUTUS!!!

THX FOR THAT!!!

I got a horrifying bad beat 1 hour ago, I thought about wiping the floors - and I came across your moron-folded-boat thread.
Not only the folding story is a highlight - some of the comments just, hm, make it an event of the third kind.

I'm still laughing - and I'm again at the tables. Guess you made my day (with something that happened half a year ago)!

I know this thread has quite some dust on it, but it fits perfectly for what I've got to say...

I really needed to find a thread like this to see I'm not the only one to make some stupid mistakes. Just one or two days ago I played [Qc Jh] like I had [Qc Jc]. I knew the other one was on a club-flush draw and finally got it on the turn, but I told myself I would have the better club-flush and went all-in.

When I saw my cards I wanted to kill myself. Thanks god it was just a bit less than 4$ (USD).

See you. (At least it wasn't a "mis-click", which probably does hurt a lot more)

Just the other day I meant to bet 3200 into a pot of 4800, accidentally bet 32000 and the guy with 28k called and won with his TPTK. was chip leader. Busted out of the cash. Nightmare.

Have done silly things like this before. Bet 4000 instead of 400. Also when my tables aren't tiled, I sometimes go to raise on one table and end up calling all-in with garbage when another table pops up.

actually for me it was just after the latest Pokerstar update when the hot keys got added in to adjust your betting, I flopped a set of kings and was meaning to check and see what everyone else was going to do and I bumped my mouse reaching for my drink and somehow clicked it to bet damn near my whole stack, luckily everyone folded and everything turned out.

I often make betting mistakes when playing at 2nl by forgetting to put in a 0 on a $0.08 standard 4x BB bet and make it into a $0.80 instead. This has cost me the hand a few times, but got me some big pots at other times.

One time I made a misclick in early position- I hit the raise button in a no limit MTT or SNG, and it had the effect of making a min raise. I think i had Jack rag. I got a caller in the BB and went ahead and c-bet and took it down.

I really hate it when it happens! But I think even the best pros do it from time to time - and if they say they never do, they're lying.

Maybe it's just your subconscious working to do something out of the ordinary, to break the rules, to be unpredictable?!?

I've done this many times although not so much now because i try not use the quick buttons and wait for my turn to select what i wanna do, this stops you pressing call when it jumps to your go coz they've all folded before you. Make sure you're always concentrating and you should never mis read the community cards.

Gutted i would be, unlucky.

I have been using a lap top lately and some times I've left the pointer on the call button and when I intend to fold and I go to move the pointer to fold, the sensitive track pad pressed call as soon as I touched it.

It happend to me tonight but I got very lucky, I had 72os and one guy went all in pre flop and as soon as I touched the track pad I called with 72os instead of folding, and the flop came out 727  :D

Also when my tables aren't tiled, I sometimes go to raise on one table and end up calling all-in with garbage when another table pops up.
I have done this a few times, some worked out in my favour and sometimes it went against me.
