by the time you bring the odds calculator up, it is too late to use it , I used to keep a paper with it on the table handy, even that was to slow to use ....and I sure haven't got the energy to try and memorise all of it.
So, the best for me is to try and see how the cards are falling out , and in each game/table what is showing for patterns and play accordingly

I don't use, because I always play more than one tournament per time and time is too short.

The time in tournament is far too short for using an odds calculator. I use it only while practicing or reviewing some hands. In tournaments it is enough to know the outs, some important random percentages and having a good package of intuition.

i use the calculator in my head...
pocket pairs vs anything but a higher pair, 4 to a flush, open ended straights and potential high OR low double gutshot straights on the flop are all coin tosses

Never used a calculator while playing tournaments. It will probably slow you down if you don't have a hud.

Try to calculate in your head, it's better practice.

I glanced at the calc but would still like a little mystery because knowing the exact odds on flukes that beat me would probably leave me more frustrated
than I currently am.

I do it in my head and I am very far from a math whiz - it was my weakest subject in school and I had to cheat like a mad man to get through it. Most poker math is not that difficult.

no, i personally play poker with nothing extra than the actual poker window. there is only a % calculator in the pokerstars website that you could use to know if you have any chances on wining a hand. i would say that it does not really should be used because you cant use it in a real tourny haha.
