I know you have to have a successful deposit to send to a player, but can you receive without one?

Thanks!

I have never made a deposit to FT (or any other poker site) and have transferred from and to my account numerous times.

Buddy of mine successfully received a transfer last week without ever having deposited. Yes. You can do it.

All you can do then is try. Worst they can do is refuse the transfer request.

I've been a FT player for about 3 years and have transferred many times. Last one I sent was funds to Dakota on FT for the Memorial tourney for MrMuckets and I have transferred funds in both directions from staking players that I have done in the past, both a while ago and recently.

you need to fill out your name and address stuff. The deposit part might be new. But if your name and address isn't filled out, you can't even receive a transfer.

I've transferred funds to many 'non-depositing' players on Fulltilt. I don't know if they've changed it recently but I doubt it. I've never had one not go through.

Are you looking to transfer to someone else? OR are they looking to transfer to you? You'll know soon enough if you just go ahead & try it (no risk in trying... unless you're doing a site-to-site trade with someone, then maybe try the Fulltilt transfer first...if it works > proceed obv... & if it doesn't.. nothing lost).

As far as I know you must have a deposit history before you can transfer to another player. If somebody has been able to make a transfer without depositing there must be a flaw in the FT system.

Although they say you have to have "deposit history", clearly a lot of people who have been on the site have gotten transfers without it. Maybe for players that have been with the site a long time, there is that "history" even if it didn't involve deposits. Whereas if someone just makes a NEW account, and then you immediately try to transfer to that new account, maybe that situation they would look at a bit differently.

And maybe rules have tightened up in more recent times, but from what I ever saw in the "old" days (pre 2007), they really didn't seem to check much of anything.

As nevadanick said, give it a try. I'm pretty sure I've seen the screen before myself but have made a few transfers to people who haven't deposited as well as to those who have. I'm one of those of people who haven't deposited so I would definitely say give it a try. If anything, you might want to make sure that you at least have the mailing address part done though you might be able to transfer without it. Let us know how it goes if you try!

On full tilt you need to fill out your information to receive money, I dunno about sending.
