"On April 15th 2011 the United States Department of Justice unsealed a federal indictment against a number of individuals employed by major online poker operators. After the issuance of that indictment and a related civil case brought by the United States government, fulltiltpoker withdrew from the US market. Then in a related action, on June 29th, 2011, FTP had its operating licenses suspended by the Alderney gambling Control Commission.

As a result, Pocket Kings Ltd. (provider of marketing and technology services to FTP has adopted a cost optimization program and estimates that they need to reduce their costs by approximately €12m. This program is intended to streamline the company’s operations in order to better position itself for future growth and profitability in FTP's markets outside of the U.S.

If all of the required cost savings were to be achieved through redundancies, approximately 250 positions could be affected; however the exact number cannot be confirmed until the conclusion of a consultation process with its workforce.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Pocket Kings firmly believes it has a very strong future in FTP’s Non-US Markets, and is fully committed to ensuring FTP restores the site and repay players in full. To this end, FTP has retained Sea Port Group Securities, LLC as its financial advisor with regard to raising capital and/or assisting in securing a strategic partner in order to fund continued operations of FTPs non-U.S. business. The Company is in active discussions with several parties and will provide a further statement in due course."

I never thought I would miss Rush as much as I do. Hope they make a comeback or license Rush to another site.

Yup. I had a love/hate relationship with Rush but it was a great way to get points and make some money. Too bad I'll never see it.

I'm gonna get my Full Tilt money someday somehow, whether by finally getting it from them, or rolling Howard Lederer in a Japanese steakhouse parking lot.

Fulltilt will never be the same if they do come back. Their reputation has soured over getting people their money back. If they do succeed in returning funds to players they shud pay extra for having the players wait so long.

The next big date is the 19th which is the AGCC hearing. Tho I'm not quite sure if there's any reason to be too excited about it.

I guess we American players are just plain S.O.L. when it comes to recovering our winnings from FT. Is our government so ignorant that they can't see the potential revenue available? Why not license companies like Caesar's Palace and other large Las Vegas and Atlantic City corporations with sterling reputations.for Americans to play online at? It has to be a win-win situation for all parties including the U.S. government. Why must we be held hostage by a group of small minded conservative politicos when our economy is in such shambles?

A grave oversimplification on my part here, but bold 2 above is in part due to bold one anyway, so its just more of the same. Perhaps "Self interest oriented" can replace "small minded" in many cases as well.

You can be sure that the present online poker situation has nothing to do with "We the people".

it was on the rte news (republic of ireland national news station) last night. pocket king to lose 250 workers in ireland,it said it was due to fulltilt poker not being allowed to operate in america. it then went on to give a bit of news about fulltilt and how they are having difficulties with paying some of their players money they have in their accounts. wtf.

Yes it will. Maybe one year players will not keep more than 10% of their bankroll there. But after a while all will be forgotten. Nobody talks about pokerstars problems half year ago. More than that all US players are crying that they canot play there anymore.
With FT will be the same. PPl do not care about their problems . Tey only want their money back and to roll on again. And this is only because the other sites are garbage . PS and FT are the best by far. Software, offers, point system. I still do not understand why the others did not speculate the moment to improve themselves. With an agressive marketing campaign in a short while they will be back as it never happened.
I bet after a week after oppening they will have over 100k players online most of the time.

i miss the software.
i have tried lots of sites since FT closed,
nothing comes close.
why are all the other sites so crap ?
the 'final table' on FT was such a joy.
i can still picture the crowd in the background
sigh.............

Ok.. how much? (< I will lay you odds & we can have someone hold onto this for us.... but not in Fulltilt $'s obviously). This ^ is really wishful thinking imo. I'm leaning towards believing that we will never actually see a FulltiltPoker again..

Comparing PokerStars rebound to Fulltilt's potential one, is whimsical at best.
