So, there I sit in a game at carbon when a little window pops up; it says I have been awarded a 215.00 ticket and the game starts in xx minutes.
Odd, as I have done nothing to win this ticket. Thinking it was a mistake, I decided to check and sure enough - no ticket! I ask around and I am not crazy - this has happened to others as well. I intend to take a screenshot next time, if it happens again.
So, my question is; is this just an honest mistake (?!?), or is carbon actually trying to fake people out into spending $215.00 by making them think they have a free ticket? You know, hoping they are not paying close attention and end up buying in? Or are they doing it to perhaps garner interest, hoping some will say "oh, well, no ticket, I'll play anyway?" Either way, it's not nice!
I did notice this; as of 1:03 pm, they had only $56,760.00 in entry fees in a $150k GTD game. I think I will check after the 4 hour late entry expires to add it up. So far today, it looks like they might be paying out more than they are taking in. They need around 700 to break even.
I will give them the benefit of doubt here and assume it is a mistake. That being said, has this happened to any of my fellow CC members? You tell me.
