It's been two months since I requested a withdrawal from WSEX Poker (World Sports Exchange). Played a freeroll there in Jan or Feb, won some seed money, entered qualifier for their weekly $2000. Top three finishers in each qualifier (held throughout the week) win a ticket to the weekly Sunday $2000 (usually with no more than 150 entrants). Won a ticket and then placed 2nd in the $2000, winning $400. I called to find out if there were any rake or deposit requirements and was told there were not. Requested a withdrawal of $390. Have contacted them by phone twice and by email once and received the same answer as to why my check has not been sent:
"Firstly, I would like to apologize for the delay which we were experiencing. The logs have been reviewed and shows that your withdrawal has been forwarded to the Processors for processing. We are currently awaiting an update with your tracking information, as soon as the Processors update us with that info, it will be forwarded to your email address listed on file.
The checks are usually received within 24 to 48 hours after the notice. Once again, I assure you we are working on getting you withdrawals out to your ASAP."

Anyone else had trouble with them?

Update: The latest response from WSEX:

Dear Thomas (_swiss_), We spoke sometime last week. Let me again apologize for any delays in communication. We do have your withdrawal request listed and we are working everyday with our bank to get your payout to you without any further delays. During the month of April, our bank will be making progress on our outstanding checks. I will continue to forward your name and request to ensure that your check gets completed. Every week, the lines of communication will be kept opened and information will be passed on to you with the progress of completion. World Sports Exchange really does appreciate your patience and understanding towards us at this time. Please feel free to contact me or any other representative, to address any further queries. MARIA Office Manager TEL: Removed phone numbers
Still no check.

WSEX has been in slow pay/no pay mode for quite awhile now. Search at Sports Book Review (a site that provides reviews for sportsbook) for more details about the problems there. Good luck getting the money you are owed.

Thanks, Herbie. I will check Sports Book Review momentarily. Just came by to update my original post. "Maria" sends me an email every 7-10 days promising that they are getting close to cutting that check. But it has now been three months...and still nothing but promises.

Just another update. WSEX is still a deadbeat room. Two weeks ago, "Maria" promised a check "in two weeks." When I called today, that "promise" had morphed into a promise of a "June check." I suggested maybe WSEX is waiting until they win the lottery so they can afford to pay. Stay far away from this place. If you make a desposit, you are wasting your money. If you play in the freerolls, you are wasting your time.

I assume WSEX is out of business. Never got my check. They have now also stopped the monthly charade of contacting me to tell me the check would follow in another week or another month.

Sorry to hear that, but at least you never actually invested money on the site, only time.

Yet another reason I, and many, don't mess around with small networks/sportsbooks with attached poker rooms.

But some of these types of rooms are paying out MUCH faster than most US-facing rooms. bodog and intertops come to mind. The Jazette rooms are also paying out way faster than the rest of Merge.

WSEX been slow-paying / no-paying for years. Really surprised to see OP was from this year.
