Possibly includes play chip money players as well. Many sites dont report their actual cash game players but include playmoney players. Actual global cash game traffic is not a lot for online poker.

I have noticed that also.Do they count people not on tables but on the system?AKA lurkers.It is nice to see when i first started on ACR that there were usually no more than 2k people.More people means more tables to play but not in the case of ACR.

Very unflattering report there. But those numbers look more like what I can find than the 5K+ that shows in the BCP lobby.
Brings up the possibility that each of the skins treats that lobby # differently.

I spent a fair amount of time looking for players, including play money players, and nowhere were there all that many players.
However I can not get into the Casino or the Sports betting section.

Yes, with filters off. Most of the play seems to be MTT/SNG rather than ring/cash games.
If we consider that no one is multi-tabling (not the case Imho) the numbers still don't work. Unless they are counting lots of players who passed out without logging out.

This morning;
Lobby shows 6400+ players,
Being very generous about my quick counts, I can maybe account for 1000 players in all the games they show me, real and play, ring and tourney, MTT and SNG.
Of note is that in a lot of the ring games there are a few sharks sitting alone at tables waiting for the fish. They are multi-tabling.
The casino and the sportsbook still do not show for me. It may be that those 2 entities account for all of the missing players, but how can we know? Are those 2 entities showing for anyone? anywhere in the world?

When I look at the lobby, I am seeing all of the players on all of the skins, so that isn't it.

It only shows ring games and not MTT's and SNG's nor play money. Tho even that number seems messed up.
The higher player number may also be staff members watching for any software problems / server problems they may come up, and they might also be keeping an eye out for any tracker software that is on there not to use list.
