3. How long will withdrawals take to process?

  • Withdrawals by Check will take approximately 4-6 weeks to be approved from the time you submit them. After that timeframe there may be a 3-10 business day waiting period depending on the postal service in your area.
Are they serious? I mean wow why would anyone deposit money on that site. If your a non american you could use one of the ewallets but us poor US players are stuck with the ole snail mail checks.

Do you have any clue what the process is to get a check from an offshore poker site to the hands of an American now? Didn't think so. If you have a problem with it, just go and try to find a site that an American can play on that has instant withdrawals... fyi, you'll be looking for a while.

lol... i'm with OP on this one. you can defend them if you want but i see little reason for them to take weeks/months to approve a withdrawal.
clearly they are waiting on deposits to cover cashouts. i'll add imo but it's a fact if you think about it. imo. :ciao:

Not a fact.

going back to pre-BF... FTP had awful withdrawal times compared to pokerstars.
if merge isn't waiting on deposits to cover then i will eat my poo. :toilet:

j/k but seriously it makes sense to me that they have dipped into player funds and have been struggling ever since. imo.

Im not saying its a good thing, but we really have no room to be picky where we play. Merge is the best we are going to get. You should count yourself lucky when you get your money at all.

fwiw, not everyone has same goals/objectives when they deposit on an online pokersite. Years ago I'd leave money on sites for couple years at a time w/o making a withdrawl.

From Merge's gaming license rules:
40. (1) A licensee shall keep players’ funds separately from the licensee’s own funds in a Clients’ account held with a credit institution approved by the Authority.
(2) (a) The funds in the players’ account, including funds in transit or in the process of being cleared through the banking system or by credit card processing companies, shall at any time be at least equal to the aggregate of the amount standing to the credit of players’ accounts held by the licensee:

I really think too much time to actually get the money you've won, but at least it is safe, and you are guaranteed to receive, even if it takes really is regrettable that there is no other methods aside for american players Network Merge, i think the players would increase traffic ...

There is always something we have to wait for in our lives and this is just one of them.
I'm sure there are other things IRL you feel you shouldn't have to wait long for, but it happens, we just have to suck it up and deal.

Interesting point about the financial situation. Is there any financial transparency at all?

That's why I LOVE intertops Poker on the Revolution Network... They are the only ones on Revolution that have their OWN payout network... I get my bank wire's usually no more than 5 days... (Costs $50 though), but they gave me my first wire free... If you go with Intertops, always try and talk to Kim on tech support... I have her 866 # but won't openly post it here... anyway... she rocks... no questions asked and she gets my money on my account in 1-2 minutes through the **caugh** payment server...

The best instant withdrawal method is friends and the player transfer method. When you hit the coin in a tourney or ring and want to cash out some of those winnings, use your friends. This is where chatting at the poker table can be beneficial. Get to know players, build a bond or convince some of your friends who arent on the site to join.

You transfer player to player chips to them, they pay you in cash or check if out of state. Note if its a online buddy that you havent dealt with before you might want to transfer a smaller amount until you know he or she is good for it.

Also, there is a wide network of people available to use Player2Player Transfer (2+2), including ability to transfer to and from NetSpend and GreenDot Cards in order to Deposit and Withdraw on major sites such as Carbon Poker. If you are looking to deposit you can get a return on your funds (say transfer 100 and get 110/120 on site) since there can many times be a discount to get your funds off site.

didn't FTP claim the same?...

No they didn't. They said they kept enough money to refund everybody, but did not specify that the funds were in segregated accounts, and Alderney gaming commission didn't require it.

Do people ever trade American Express gift cards for online poker $?

I have only seen it mentioned once a couple months ago, so they are not actively traded at all. But you might give it a try anyway

Seriously Serious mate.

Unless you deposit with an online wallet your looking at a long wait. And also once you get that check you will have to wait another 2 weeks for your bank to clear it maybe more

FWIW I think they do that in case it does take that long because I doubt it does. I am currently in the process of sending a check back through a Merge site right now. I will post here on the process and how long it took.
