We have a Texas poker game in Asia.
We give players 4 hole cards and let them pick the most advantageous two.
Just would like to ask, if the US players are interested in this kind of "4 pick 2" Texas Hold'em?
Thank you very much for your kind opinion in advance.:)

Hi Deeshark420, Thanks very much for your information. :)
I googled Pineapple, and found there are Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple.
Crazy Pineapple looked even more excited ---> The third hole card will be discarded after the dealer turn over three community cards.

This almost sounds like a pai gow game. Now I know there is a huge difference, but I realize this is a more popular game amongs Asians. I have tried this at the casino but really did not fully understand to make more than a few bets at.

Myself, I am not too fond but I do hate to say this because it can be a very interesting matchup. I am sure there will be many a supporters.
I like to play the occasional 7 card stud with Jokers Wild. This I have played a few times and have had success at it.

I don't think being creative with a deck of cards is in any way a bad thing. I am sure I would sit at a table if this game were an option, but then again if I am at a casino I prefer blackjack or Hold 'Em.

Do you have to get rid of 2 before the flop or is it almost like Omaha?

our casino has a texas shootout, get 4 cards pick two, so it seems the same,
reading up on it now and I guess 6 decks are used
5 of a kind suited is the best possible hand
you can also split your hand (play 2 -2card hands- and double the wager)
you play against the dealer
ive tried it some back in the day, not bad

Nice that seems like a fun game. IS there some place that shows the hand ranks and what not?

I lost a fair bit on Pai Gow when I was in the casino pretty wasted after a night out. It was just me and about 20 Asians lol. I am still not really sure how to play it :D

You're referring to "Crazy Pineapple" where you get to examine the flop before you discard. Pineapple discards one card pre flop.

Do you play against each other with these hands?

Here in casinos they play this, but you have to beat the dealers' hand, like blackjack.

We play against each other.
But it sounds nice if we play against dealers' hand.
Maybe can do it later in another version.
You prefer play against each other or the dealer?
