I guess there are just too many sites out there, Nickzz. WPEX is one that I have on my list to check out, but I already have live accounts at 15 different poker rooms, which is already more than I can really use.

Yes, CB, they are American-friendly. Likely to remain so too, I should think, because they are outside the US and they are not a publicly-traded company, so not under pressure.
They have a rather unique system whereby your rake is refunded (I believe once a month), so their games wind up being free of charge. I understand that they are a pretty big sportsbook, and that the profits from that fund the poker room, which is a minor part of the operation.
As Nickzz has pointed out, the downside is low traffic. I just checked out some independent traffic reports, and it looks like their normal peak is around 600 players at any one time, which makes it less than a tenth the size of Titan, bodog or Absolute.

Ty, ET. The rake refund thing sounds pretty great. I can relate to topic creator now in wondering why the site doesn't have more traffic. I would think word of that would spread and get a lot of players to try it out. I might give it a whirl myself.

I have played there before - its not too bad, but does suffer from a lack of players and i found the software a little awkward at times.
The no rake angle is a nice advantage - but that does rely on opponents.
As i remember when signing up with them you will be required to supply copies of id (c/card etc)

I don't understand your point. How does 'no rake' translate into 'no action'? lol
I've been playing there for a while and the no rake system is superb. If only there were more players this would be my first choice pokerroom.

From the way I understand it this is a very upstanding site. The problem with most people seems to be, from what I have others say, is the lack of enough players as people don't seem to like the software. Also I guess it's a bit hard to make $$ there as the players are tight. Maybe not allot of fish?

Well I have just signed up and about to play a freeroll to check the graphics. If I like it I could see depositing here just to add to aites I am able to play at. I am also interested to check out the no rake deal. I as well do not like the fact that there aren't very many players. At the time there are 1459 players which is about 450 more than nickzz had seen. Maybe it is gaining popularity through forums such as these? Good luck at the tables!

i just got an e-mail from them saying i had earned .69cents in my rake bak and iy was deposited into my account it was there i think it is a good site sometimes not enough players but can deal with that lot of good tournneys and ring games the rake back will helpmy poor playing i have been doing lately am tucum on that site i think anyone looking for a new site ought to take a look

I've been a member at the exchange for nearly 4 yrs. I'm a big fan and do not play anywhere else. I just dont see the point in paying to play if I dont have to. Its true the traffic is small, but you can always find a game. Its not like the site goes to bed and there aren't any tables open. As far as that peak number jumping up to 1500-1800 players, that is only right before a freeroll and they players arent contributing to the real tables. Typically 300-850 players are online, most of whom play limit hold 'em. There are some very big limit games here. The no limit action is mostly 100NL and down. However you usually 2-3 200NL tables goin, and 1 each of 400nl, 600nl, and 1000nl. These higher stakes games are usually shorthanded play. If you like action, these are the games to play. Another nice thing about the site is that most of the tournaments are guaranteed prize pools. Because of low traffic, often times they dont fill up and there is added money. This makes your return on your investment much greater. The one tournament that does this more than any other, is the weekly 5K guarantee on Sunday at 4:30 for $25+2. This is must play every week. Typically 170 players meaning $750 is added to the pool. Pays 18 usually. Great game. Also the sit n goes are profitable because they offer 5 man and 10 man games paying top 2 and top 3. You can fold you way to the money in many of the 5 man games. They are plenty of fish on the low lvls, but from 100NL and up will find some pretty good play. However, being a sister site of a major sportsbook you will see many of the gamblers take their winnings and sit at a poker game and blow a couple hundred.
