Will the big 3 card rooms ever come back to the U.S.? By big 3 I mean Full Tilt, poker stars, and party poker. I first learned how to play poker on Full Tilt via play money. That's kind of a good memory for me and an even better one is that way back years and years ago I remember watching my grandpa play on Party Poker. I really never played or had much to do with Poker Stars although they seem to be an excellent site. But will any or all ever come back to the U.S. market? I'm just asking for opinions here not facts or legal garbage. And I realize Party Poker is available in New Jersey, but I'm talking about the country as a whole.

Why Don't you guys make the sites available into the big Three . If all the US players that want Poker Stars and co. so bad , went on Bovada and other available sites could they not be the big three . I ' am a little sick of people thinking Poker Stars is the only poker provider in the world .. Play where it's available and build it up ......??

First off I specifically mentioned I had no experience on pokerstars, so how am I thinking its the only provider? Did I not also mention FTP and PP? Secondly how are we supposed to build up a site like Bovada if they are only in the U.S. and Canadian market? Maybe you should stop thinking the U.S. is the center of the world. There's 350 million people in the U.S. and 7 Billion people in the world, do the math. Bovada does not provide screen names, part of the hype with the big 3 is watching the big names like Phil Ivey play, how are we to know on Bovada if it's Phil Ivey playing or Joe Blow? Also Bovada's "high stakes" are 10/20 NL, if you didn't know 10/20 is midstakes. I wanna see 500/1000 and 400/800 not 10/20! Bovada is no FTP why do you think the rest of the world still plays on Stars, Party, and Full Tilt instead of Black Chip or Carbon. Because those sites don't hold a candle to sites like FTP. Don't get me wrong I love Bovada and so do the rest of U.S. players but if Stars or FTP ever come back Bovada will turn into a ghost town. So no they don't even have close to the capacity to be the big 3. Wheres all the promotions? Sponsered Pro's, Screen name's? And much more? Look at all the games the big sites have theres no horse on Bovada, no Omaha 8, no Irish Hold'em, no 2-7 triple draw, no 5 card draw, or A-5! And that's just to name a few. They have a long way to come, and with any luck a short time to get there.

Kind of silly to think we have the power to do that. It would have happened already if we did.

You are either not in the US - or you rarely play poker online - or you have no idea what is important to real poker players when they play online. ;)

PS and FT aren't the only providers - but they are the best by a very long shot - especially compared to the few options US players have.

I am from canada and we can play ,basically anywhere we want. Poker Stars , Full Tilt and Party Poker are not choices I would make. They offer nothing . The VIP programs on those sites are useless to small stakes players. I have 50 to 60% Rakeback on I poker sites and MPN along with generous free rolls etc. If people want to cater to big monopolies like Poker Stars that is their business . The original poster asked for opinions , and specifically said not facts . Then He argues some pointless drivel about my opinion. . What should be important to players is profit and that is tough to accomplish without a good rakeback deal .. Again this is my opinion and you are entitled to yours....

Right I asked for opinions on WHEN IF EVER WILL THE BIG 3 COMEBACK TO THE US MARKET!!! Not opinions on how terrible the big 3 are so get that right. I also didn't ask if you were tired of hearing about Pokerstars now did I? My suggestion is if your tired of hearing about FTP and Pokerstars then QUIT PLAYING POKER!!! Or at least quit playing online poker and using online websites relating to online poker! We like these sites because were serious about poker. Also I don't think you should use words that you don't know the meaning to like Monopoly. A monopoly is -the EXCLUSIVE possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service. If I cant even access Pokerstars how do they have a monopoly? If you can access Pokerstars and also Bovada then how does Pokerstars have a monopoly? You mention the big 3 have bad deals on things like rakeback, well to me a bad deal is better than no deal that Bovada offers on rakeback. Another reason we'd rather have FTP vs Bovada or Black Chip is that these sites are greedy and shady. On both sites I can access black jack via an open table! I don't even have to go to the lobby. To me that spells out greed. FTP doesn't even offer black jack. let alone table side because they're not so greedy. If I can play real money poker on Black Chip whilst having zero info for my account, which is true my account isn't even in my name let alone any name does that not seem shady? Does it not seem shady that Bovada doesn't have screen names? And its easy to say "I'm tired of Pokerstars" when its available to you.Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for Bovada but there's no denying the truth.

Profit isn't hard to accomplish when you have skill, rake back is an added bonus believe me I'd take advantage of it if it were offered.

Since you seem to have an attitude about correct facts, you should get your facts straight about who is the big three. According to poker Scout Traffic Poker Stars , 888 and I poker are the so called big three .. However ,I will just answer the original Question . NO...

I need to get my facts straight? At least I knew what a monopoly was. I also specifically said BY BIG 3 I MEAN PS, FTP, AND PP!!! I don't care what poker scout says. It also goes without saying this was a question by a U.S. poker player to other U.S. poker players not to anyone outside the U.S. Why would I ask someone who is not effected by this? You're not qualified to answer the question if you're not effected by it now are you? That would be like asking the mail man why the garbage man didn't show up how would he know?

Also traffic isn't the sole qualifier to be a "big 3" other things need to be factored in such as known sponsored pros, which I can't think of any for I-poker, or 888. Television exposure- I've never seen 888 or I-poker commercials, or on any poker shows like WPT, PAD etc. with the exception of 888 on the wsop. And lastly I've very rarely even heard of I-poker but once before now, and I'm pretty in touch with the poker world. So if a regular player has heard of a site once or twice I think its pretty clear they are not one of the "big 3"! Maybe the reason both that I've rarely hear of I-poker and that its in the top 3 on scout is the fact that I-poker is a NETWORK if you even know what that is, NOT a CARDROOM! And it says no where on scout "These are the big 3 card rooms", it says top traffic. So yeah I guess I really need to get MY facts straight huh?

Will poker sites come back to US?

Now over the years gambling sites have slowly been weaning of American users, why is that? I have lost some of my favorite sites to the ban of US members now and I hope they would come back. Anyone know if they eventually will or if we will continue to see poker sites leave Americans out?

I feel you man!

Miss those ones as well they all our in my top 5 but now I have to settle with what I can get as an American. I see some people posting about just play wherever and build up but hey sometimes you get into the flow of a site and who they have in their tourny's. All sites are different from the set up of the site, to tournaments and how the players play in cash games and tournaments. Keep the faith brotha..

Its not the poker sites its the US govt. Poker Sites would love to be able to operate in America as thats their biggest market

If you care about this issue and want to stay up to date with the latest developments join the PPA's (Poker Players' Alliance) mailing list and if you like the PPA join them too.

It's really not looking good at the moment. In the those states where online poker is legal it seems like the sites are having trouble driving much traffic. Elsewhere the powerful bricks and mortar casino interests are doing everything they can to prevent online gambling (including poker) get any kind of a hold.

Add to that some states where local law is extremely hostile to online poker and the over all picture is somewhat depressing to those of us who enjoyed the heady pre Black Friday days of online poker.

Yeah, I mostly play on BCP these days seems like the best option available at this point. Hopefully someday that changes though!

I am so lucky to have had no account at pokerstars and was broke at full tilt, absolute, & UB.

I lost some cash at ewalletexpress though.
