I was away from online poker for about 5 years. I just recently started playing again and after some research for good sites for USA players I ended up depositing $40 on ACR about a week and a half ago. I found the Jackpot games the first day and never looked back. I'm currently up over $100. So here are the top five reasons you should be playing $2 jackpot games on ACR:

1. Most players don't know how to play short handed.

2. Most players don't know how to play short stacked.

3. Due to 1 & 2 it's very easy to win 2/3 games. (I've gone on runs where I win 4 in a row).

4. You actually see $8 and $12 games pretty often. (this is where all your profit comes from, the players freak out at this level and spew chips everywhere. I probably win 70% of the $8 and $12 games).

5. Where else can you turn $2 into minimum guarantee of $500 and a maximum of $3,750 if you win!?!?!?!? If you ever hit the $5k jackpot, it would be like being at the final table of a huge MTT and being in the money automatically!!! I bet that MTT would cost more than $2 to enter as well!!

Good luck, Give Jackpot poker a try. Not only is it profitable, it will teach out how to play short handed which is a valuable tool when you grind out an MTT for 4 hours and finally make a final table!

On the $2 level the max jackpot is $5,000. Everyone wins a portion of that jackpot. 1st gets 75%, 2nd gets 15% and 3rd gets 10%. Same is true if you hit the $400 or $200 jackpot on the $2 games.

You should for sure! What I forgot to mention was these games only last 7 minutes or so! Sure beats grinding out hours and hours on a big MTT, or even the half hour or so of a decent SnG.

I disagree, there is a lot of skill involved in the jackpot format!

So these are like spin&gos on pokerstars? I might give these a try...

From what I hear, they are pretty much the same thing. However, I'm in the US and can't play PS.

But the minimum guarantee on the $2 level is $4, not $500. The odds of hitting the big jackpot are probably less than 1%.

I'm from the US as well. I'm more experienced with MMT and cash. I have to learn how to play short handed like you said before joining these i guess.

Edit: for $2 buyins, $4 is the smallest prize right?

the problem with that game is more you buy in more you loose. maybe you gonna win 8 in a row at least you will break up. I know I won like 25 game i a row ( not too much 6 time the buy in ) after 2 days of very bad beat you have no idea. ( burn 350$ ) Seem like other play can see my cards. And in 3 hours of playing right 3 hours non stop when I hit monster hand all monster hand everybody fold at any position and in the blinds too ??? whats going on???

Now after my day play like 5 or 6 games like that and its all for the day.

I dont know if other cheating on me but feel like that. Anyway maybe its just happen to me.:(

I dont think these games are a good idea. They are fast thats for sure, and there is a lot of skill involved, but the odds of hitting the jackpot are just too miniscule to make them worthwhile in my opinion

I like the concept that's for sure if you are a sit n go player they are great for you if you mainly play mtt they will be a bit tough at first but can adapt to it fairly quickly I say play them.

You don't need to hit the mega jackpot to make them profitable. When I wrote this post I was up $100, I'm now up over $160. You get $8 and $12 games quite often at the $2 level.

Yes sir! I enjoy them. They are ideal for me. I don't have a lot of time, so I play 30 minutes here and there and can knock out eight of them two tabling. They might not be for everyone, but I'm killing them!!!

I played a bunch of these last year. I forgot about them as I mostly play Bovada now, but damn now this post got me interested again. I'll have to deposit a few bucks and play some now that I know the style a little better. Maybe hit the big jackpot and pad my real life bankroll!

wish they would add a buy-in between $2 and $10. That's a pretty big jump in stakes for the format.

I have watched those a few times and thought about it but I dont have the bankroll yet or else I would give them a try. The other site i play on has a similar game where you buy-in for 9c and then win 3 handed games like 10x and win 999 dollars. Ive been trying those. I like the idea but I would get a little down if i bought in with 2 other people and got a $4 prize pool but I guess it is worth the shot at the $5000. I think the $40 buy-in has a wsop ME prize package as well and Ive always wanted to play in that.

I agree, a $5 or $6 would be nice. I'm trying to figure out at what point I'll be bank rolled for the $10. I could go super conservative and wait till I hit $1k or maybe take some stabs when I reach $500. I have no idea if the $10 level will be as profitable as the $2. I guess I have some work to do and figure it out.

You know what, when I reach $500, the first thing I will do is make a withdraw of $250. I always take a little profit for myself and get my original $40 deposit back. Then I will run it back up to $500, and take stabs at the $10 and stop if my BR hits $250 and move back down to the $2 games. Move up to the $25 games if I hit $1.5k and back down to $10 games if I hit $500. So, I've got some grinding to do! lol We'll see how that goes before I make a plan for the $40 games!!!

I think the WSOP ME is a $35 game. I'm not sure, I haven't paid much attention to the bigger buyins as I'm not BRed for them yet.

I have played at least 50 $3 wsop jackpot pokers to try to win the main event seat and every single time the prize has been the minimum $6 winner take all. I have read some conspiracy theories that the wsop winners will be shills or bots. Some of the winners didn't have much history on ACR or black chip. I hope it's real. I want to win the seat and ship the main like Joe McKeehen, Joe Cada, and Joe Hachem.

It's tough to break even when 1st place has been only double the buyin every single game I've played. I only have less than 50 bucks on black chip and about 20 on ACR. Fortunately, Cardschat runs freerolls twice a week and a sunday $100 added buyin :)
