Why are their so many clown avatars on pokerstars?

I'm surely not the only one to notice this?... their is like a trend of players having an abnormal rate of clown avatars on their player ID's...
I dont think I can remember playing a session without coming across these in sit n go's

is this strange/a cult/some kind of stable identification. or do people just like clowns lol

haha, I dont give a fck about others avatars, I didnt notice it I picked up Frankenstein or whatever it is Cause when I played first time on FT, nobody at table had him Since then I stayed with him

people just actively seek a picture of a clown and put that up, which is what makes is so unusual.

my guess as maybe its a stable that grind the sit n gos and mtt's on stars

Not sure if this is the case when you noticed it but most clownish avatars I've seen on PS belong to Russians.

There is a strong tradition of clowns in Russia, and I'm not talking about their playing style either.:icon_geek (Nearest I could find to a clown)

Because clowns are scary, haven't you seen the movie 'it'?

That would be my guess, too.

lol maybe clowns believe haci generate fear and scare players or generate joy and make players confide in and you will take advantage lol

also they all play quite tight in the early blind levels im guessing they use and practice abc strategy

They just want to Feel Like Joker. Joker symbol is cards , so they use joker avatar

I adjusted in lobby not to show avatars. This is my solution for that.

I don't have an avatar on Stars. I think it is harder to be spotted when multi-tabling if you have no avatar.

Sometimes I don't remember the name but only the avatar.

i see more girl avatars rarely see clowns

its a revolution

some avatars of pokerstars i think are strategies from that players, you see some players have pictures of donkeys

Actually, I noticed that there are too much people with anime avatars lol

It is because people follow trends and have no real personality and need to fit in.

I hate clowns but those ppl use the fact that most of Americans are scared of the clowns... so they are trying to make those players to play without thinking out of fear - it is good strategy... I try to look normal so I gave there pic of myself touching palm tree on beach ... however I wanted to give there crossed daggers instead

So they know they aren't the only clown at the table.

i havent noticed that, but if those avatars are annoying to you, just block the image or better just block all the avatars. Some of them are distracting so, its better not to seen them and stay focus in the game
