I had problems on Party Poker. I play on around 15 sites and so like to be able to play when I want to. With Party Poker they fine you if your account is inactive for so many days. To me this is theft. You already pay the rake and the buyins. You shouldn't have to pay this charge as well.

I believe you will be charged if your account is inactive more than 180 days. I recieved this email once. ofcourse its not ok in my opinion, but at least they will inform you few weeks before they charge you.

Wow inactive charge is really dumb. They should be encouraging more people play with them. I'm out.

Let say something will happen with your health and you wouldn't be able to play a while I am sure Party will give your money back if you would provide proof for it (let's say you have been in hospital for longer time and show the proof)

Really have the feeling people trying to put Party down they are one of the first rooms that were big.

Party is just a very good room!

I dunno this site. Just heart about it.
Is it good?
Better than PS? I think it could be better than FTP but not better than PS.

If you beat stars players at stars on long run you can beat almost any players on any pokersite IMO.

Ps software is prolly one of the best in industry so Party won't beat that , Party is imo defenitely a softer site as Pokerstars to play so more bad players on Party.

Didn't know that they fiddle with your account, I often don't play for months on end and have never noticed if they have taken money out.

Is this confirmed or is it just speculation.

I believe this is the case there , but they always are required to give you notice by email that you are close to reaching 6 months of inactivity and that if you won't play a hand or cashout your remaining balance in time, that they will take an inactivity fee.

it is confirmed that Party poker takes inactivity fee
As set out in Clause 11 (Inactive Account Fees) of the Terms and Conditions of Use, the Inactive Account Fee is a monthly administrative charge that is deducted from your account balance if your account is inactive for more than 180 days.

What I forgot to mention in my earlier post was that I had been having problems with Party Poker's software which meant that every two or three hands I had to restart the software. I informed them of this but it still didn't stop them taking money from my account. Anyway, just had an email from 888 saying that if my account stays inactive that they will take 10% of my bankroll per month. At least Party Poker only had a small set fee. I just hope that these two companys don't scare away all the new players from other sites as well with this malpractice

I love PP! Its def softer so for someone just starting out its a good way to build a bankroll. I was never a fan of the ipoker software so I really like Partys set up & their online chat staff are always very helpful. Plus the missions are an added bonus & a nice way to win some extra free cash. The multi-table SnGs never fill up though! (Unless your playing 10USD BI's but I'm not quite there yet ;) ) I'm not liking this "inactive fee" BS but I play there regularly so it shouldn't effect me. *Note to self* - When I start playing more regularly on another site WITHDRAW ALL FUNDS FROM PARTY!
You'd think they would want to entice players to always have funds on their site & not give us reasons to withdraw it all! Does it really cost them just to have inactive acc's there? Looks more like they like punish you for moving sites!

why does pp not allow you to play unless you deposit money?

Another thing you need to be aware of with Party Poker is that they charge fees for withdrawals. I use skrill and they charge a 3% transaction fee. While they do this there is no way I will play there.

Make some use of their promotional offers and I believe you will be able to win over your 3% fee back, plus CC has games running there.

Here yesterday I only had to play 10 hands on any cashtable to receive a ticket for a 1k freeroll with over 700 entrants, like 1.5 buck buy in with worse players and sitouts.

Took the $142.50 prize ,guess I don't mind to pay 3% if they have these kind of promotions :)

That still doesn't add up as it is a 3% charge on withdrawals so they are just taking 3% of a higher figure. There are sites that are just as soft as Party that don't "tax" my winnings, Just my preference to hold on to the money I win :)
