As mentioned in the cardschat news:
The Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) will allow screen name change in reasonable intervals.
So table will not be completely anonymous (like unibet, where you can create new nick 3 times each day, and even sit a 2 table with different nicks). But you don't have to be afraid, that opponents have all you hand history from last year.

Im quite curious, why such option is missing at PS, FTP, Party, 888. Basically all the big and important networks. They at going though all the new formats and changes, just to give recreational players some living space between the hunters. And they didn't implement such easy option?
Is it because they are too afraid about reactions from regulars? Or are there are cons, like it would be harder for community to track some collusions etc.?

I think the rooms can correlate real identities with multiple screen names to stop any of the cheating concerns you mentioned if they were so inclined. Also overseas regulators could do the same and if there were a regulatory agency like the Nevada Gaming Control Board if poker was legal in the USA or any other existing agency or board like that was tasked with or a new agency or board were created and tasked with oversight they could easily correlate real names and multiple screen names and stop cheating. I have always thought confining players to a single screen name and allowing data mining by outside sources is a much bigger potential cheating problem because you are basically giving bot programmers all the data they need to create a bot that has an advantage over online players even before it has logged one hand of play on a site it already knows the players because the data is in the wild. So I am for strong regulation no data mining and no HUD's.

On WPN, you have a username and a screenname. In fact, it looks as though you cannot have the same username and screenname. So the screenname is just what appears as your name on the screen but your username that works in the background remains unchanged.

- Detecting bots will become impossible.
- Detecting super users will be impossible (but smart super users are undetectable anyway so meh).
- Notes will become worthless and note taking obsolete.

Apart from these major issues, I can see some benefits. But sites can't detect bots on their own and they will massacre humans fairly easily.
