well i think kif im correct pokerstars fpp's are worth 1.6 cents compared to the points to tournament buyins they offer....so really you lost 1 cent...so anything over 15 cents and your alright, sorry if this brings your confidence down and someone correct me if the fpps are worth more!

I used to play them, but honestly I can make so much more (even at micro) sitting at a ring game for that much time. Now I play mostly STTs and save my FPPs. Though I think that I may enter that new million dollar tourney, so I will probably spend my FPPs until I win a seat to that (probably play the 500 FPP satelitte).

I'll take the guaranteed 1.3 cents/FPP for the platinum bonus instead, although supernova is 1.5 cents/FPP.

Anyone who says that FPPs are useless is absolutely insane.

Good to know you're gaining confidence playing 10FPP games. I personally think time is better invested playing low-limit tournaments, because even with a tiny edge, you'll win more than 15 cents in 2-hour sessions

well clearly, but some people don't have any money or they did and busted their account and all they have left to build with is the FPPs they accumulated

I have started a couple of bankrolls playing the 70fpp sngs........
they are definately a good way to get re-started after a bad run if you don't want to deposit.

You're right - I didn't think about he bankroll-rebuilding part

Just curious - What do you think is the best use of FPPs? Playing satellites or buying poker books on their online store?

I haven't accumulated enough FPPs to do anything yet...

I play 15 hours a week on $5 buy-in SnGs and $3-5 buy-in MTTs

Accumulated ~300FPPs over the past 5 months. They accumulate slowly so I can't buy anything with them

I'm accumulating the 500FPPs required to clear the $50 bonus. So I won't do anything to them unless the bonus is in my bankroll. Not sure if I use them the bonus will be lost...
