I left that site years ago, after playing there for years, because nothing made me remember for the poker. Variance, probability, nothing was countable with live poker for more than half year. Last year I gave a month try again, it was the same. I'd like to know others opinion, whose left it, why, where do you play now? What differences do you see?

Gutted...

Was just about through writing an (in my opinion) EPIC reply and just at the end I fumbled my phone, accidentally clicked 'back' and lost the whole post.

:bawling:

Too disappointed to rewrite it for now...

Maybe will try again later.

Short answer:

Withdrew my BR from Stars a while ago and (almost exclusively) play freerolls there after counterintuitive variance day in, day out for years.

Have been playing less and less there, every since they made those stupid chests instead of giving real rewards.

I haven't left per se, I'm not playing there often these days though as I listen to music via YouTube often, and I can't do so playing on PokerStars with their stupid forced aurora.

At the moment I am only playing my league game on PokerStars, I am now playing on party poker 888 and william hill

I have never seen a site that is as bad beat as the poker stars are so disgusted.

I play a lot on PokerStars. I actually found 888 to be much much worse in players hitting the river with 2 outs. I actually counted once where I lost with AA to a lower pocket pair 13 times in a row when I was all in. Don’t tell that’s variance. That defies logic. I only play the CardsChat freerolls there now and that’s only if I already busted out of the PokerStars one. But I’m sure everyone has a story like that about some site or other.

I only play the CC Freerolls and once in a while some of their series tournaments. At least in the min stakes it's way too far away from poker...

..... meant to be I guess

I haven't 'left' Pokerstars. I don't play on there as much as in the past but this is mostly due to the increased rake & the lack of player Rewards/rakeback. It makes some of the games that I like, barely beatable. (cash tables/ Zoom).

Stars still has many good points.
Tournaments are excellent - large prizes, large player pools but also others that have a limited number of entrants in them (300 CAP, etc.). Where else can you buyin for $215 and take home a $1.5 MILLION payout? .... nowhere (although GGPoker is getting closer).
Software is excellent (aside from that b.s. new crap they threw down player's throats... but I'm able to still play on a revised version that is almost like the old one today).
Payouts are prompt. Deposits are simple. And TONS of other great features!

I personally prefer to simultaneously play on many different sites while playing 'tournaments' so that I'm able to set up a schedule of games of similar structure, buyin and starting time. It's much easier for me to multi-table them with this method. It's not possible to do this on one or two sites.... hence why I prefer playing on many.

How is the 'variance' on Stars vs. others &/or live play... ??? It's all the same to me & I spend zero time thinking about it, wondering about it, analyzing it, etc. That would be time wasted.

ONLY SITE WITH NO BITCOIN WITHDRAWAL?

What's up with that? Wish I could tag the @pokerstars rep

I have NOT stopped playing, over time, players who have been for years have noticed how pokerstars promotions and tournaments have fallen to the lowest, they have become extremely greedy and instead of improving promotions they have removed them and the variances as well They go from bad to worse, I understand what you mean when you mention that nothing fits, any player would know that when the software wants to eliminate you, whatever you have in hand, it will eliminate you. Regards.

I didn't leave Poker Stars. I just haven't played it in 7 years. A lot has changed during this time. There are fewer freerolls, there is chaos at the micro-limits, players with 29o go allin to preflop, and you have A. Guess who won-of course 29o. You should not leave, I have friends I arrange home games, there you can win cash.

I haven't left but barely bother with PokerStars anymore.

The Aurora graphics issue was the straw which broke the camels back. The graphics are now the worst of any site I play- I literally find the graphics off putting.

Further whenever PokerStars puts their foot in it, I cannot stomach the nasty attitude their spokes people take when anyone has a complaint. When that was Daniel Negreanu I never really cared as I do not rate him as a person. However, after the Aurora fiasco the likes of Lex Veldhuis, Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan basically told people to go screw themselves with their complaints.

The fact was I just happened to have 2 new laptops which could not display the graphics properly. The idea PokerStars representatives were out there with attitude saying upgrade your hardware or shut up really did not sit well with me. It's not the first time such spokes people reacted badly to any corporate criticism of PokerStars, either. But when your experience is facing a drab washed out screen with no adjustments being able to be made, and Lex Veldhuis is telling you on a stream to get over yourself, I had had more than enough.

Just the odd free roll now and that would be about once a week

So far I have only been playing online and although I imagine that being live in a room must be very exciting, the counterpart must be the wear and tear and the costs that it implies. Greetings

Excellent point in favor of Pokerstars the expeditiousness of withdrawals, I really think that no room matches it in that regard. Greetings

Pokerstars, wake up or you will be history!

Get rid of this Aurora garbage, lower the rakes, and focus on the players needs first, and the profit will follow.

Dont make the mistake to think that if you focus on the profit first, the players will follow (you) .

Pokerstars Casino and Sportsbook are already growing fast so I don't think they care much if they are losing some poker players. They are looking for recreational players and any serious poker players will disappear over to GG or others.

I continue to play on this site. Some of their changes annoy me, especially the changes in the software, but in general it is the same reliable site as it was 4 years ago.

I have always wanted to win at poker stars but I never achieved anything, it is frustrating to play for a long time in that room and never win anything, even so I have my account there but I no longer make deposits, I hope one day to get up playing pure freerolls that there are not even many, Except for the cardchat, anyway, I will always play from time to time there even if it has not gone so well.
