I have played on Carbon and Lock over the last few years but the payouts are so damn slow that I want to change to a different site friendly to US players. What are the recommendations / experiences with other sites. Bovada, Black chip poker, etc. Love to get feedback before I deposit any money anywhere. I want of course the best of both worlds (if that is possible) of quick payouts and good software. Anyone?

You need to check out americas card room. When you withdraw they give you a debit card. There is a monthly fee but the next time you withdraw you get the balance directly onto the card. Personally I don't like the software as much as carbon but the cash out makes it worth it.

recommend bovada if u like player under mask.....
good network connectivity
request check will be arrive mostly within 2weeks.

but the bad things are,
you are mostly allowed to open 4 table [SitNGo + cash] totally
you need to top up manually

but still think Bovada is a good place to play online.

For US players I would recommend Bovada, there are plenty of good reviews on this poker site. Carbon is good too.

Bovada is the best. Tons of games, soft play, fast cashouts.

youwager.com can pay within one day thru monegram..
cashed out 25k or so here no probs.. checks took about 5 days and were Canadian but cashed no prob..

Betraiser.com paid me every penny and has no rake / but takes 10% cut of ur winnings at cashout which works out to very low rake for low stakes nl I belive... cashed out 5k there no probs..

Paynorake.com / Chico network let me sign up years ago as an exception cuz they knew upfront i was from usa.. I ran 220 into 4300 then they refused to pay me.... even though the affiliate there who even had to unban my ip for me .. gave me permission.. I would not trust Paynorake.com.. they are crooks.. they would not evefn look at my emails proving my case cuz they knew i was right and they were just stealing from me.

If you are referring to "top up" in cash games, I actually just noticed in settings you can enable auto top up.

Bovada is good when it comes to paying u promptly but hard to beat considering no rakeback an low and medium stakes.

Also the point system is a joke.. For example i got like 2000 points there which adds up to about 700 bucks rake paid ... and for tHAT THEY give u like a ten buck item from store..

I like Bovada. Their hand histories show everyones hold cards which gives you a little more data to burn through...the only problem is it takes a few days to get them.

Cons:
* Poor hand history system
* 4-table max
* Terrible rakeback
* Anonymous tables

Pros:
* Lots of players
* Games seem easier (vs Carbon/Lock @ micros)
* Superfast payouts (1 free check a month)

how about alternative sites?

How about subscription sites like clubwpt.com?

Or the creative new sites like liveace.com or twopairdraw.com?

Anyone have any feedback about these sites?

Hard to find a active Omaha

I play at Carbon and Bovada. Compared to the old mega-sites (FT and PS), neither offers much action for my favorite game , HL PL Omaha. It's often hard to find other players. I also try to use Bovada points to play their SNG qualifiers, and you can wait for hours and still not get a game - and that is Hold 'em.

I don't like the total anonymity of bodog. I was never serious enough to mine data and do detailed tracking of opponents, but if I see somebody a few times, I like to at least get a feel for their tendencies. Impossible when everybody is just Player 1, Player 2, etc.

I've withdrawn from both, but the problem with both is that the check comes Fed Ex and you have to be home to sign for it. Must be a better way.

What's the best quick way to make a small deposit on either? I used to do some transfers between friends on Carbon, but I don't really know anybody on there any more.

I have been playing at bovada for about 3 months now before I was playing at Americans Cardroom I have not had any problem with either but heard that the debit card at Americans Cardroom is great for cashing out.

For those on Bovada, have you been able to cash or deposit your checks without a fee?

A friend that I referred cashed out for $500, but his bank (one of the biggies) wouldn't cash the check because it was international (from Quebec). They said he could deposit and it would likely go to collections where it would take up to 8 weeks to clear and he'd be charged a $39 processing fee.

I recommended beforehand that he dep in an ATM, but he tried the bank drivethru.

My bank charges $20 for international checks, but you can go to any check cashing store and they usually only charge 1%.

I am a small time recreational player and have played on Bovada (formerly Bodog) for years. I didn't mind when they started charging a small credit card processing fee on deposits until this past week. I made a $20 deposit and Bovada showed a debit amount posted to my card for $20.98. OK so far. I check my online banking the next day and see where Bovada (under their usual masked name) processed my deposit against Euros instead of dollars. This triggered a conversion fee from my bank to make the debit against my account a total of $25 and change. Now, to some out there this may not seem like much, but I'm not going to continue on Bovada if it's going to cost me 25 percent to make deposits there. By the way, I called Bovada to complain and they tried to blame my bank! I told them it's not my banks' fault that their management decides to process in currency other than USD. After all these years, I'm moving on and will try America's Card Room.
