Hi Guys.

Tell me, do you think it is better to concentrate playing on one site or play lots of different sites?

I am looking here at leaderboards, etc.

I would be interested to know. I play Ladbrokes only and I play in the main MTT and Sit & go ($20+ buyins), not a lover of cash games - does not suite my style of play or my mentality!!!

Your comments, as ever, are appreciated.

I can't think of any explicit downside to playing many or few sites, except possibly for one: If you stick to only one site - and play alot - you will begin finding more and more familiar faces at the table, and if you've been good and have taken notes on the people you play with, this will start to pay off.

This is very true, when I enter a stud h/l cash game table at party I sometimes have notes on up to half the table (not tons of stud h/l players but still a pretty decent amount not like 10 or something). A good reason to play on multiple sites would be bonuses. So many these days people play average poker and end up being a winning player because of the bonuses.

Tack on rakeback that some of us have with some of the sites we play on, and being an average player becomes very profitable.

IMHO it is better to play only the one. This is mainly due to the FPP,s you will rack up. These can be utilised as your buy-in for tournies plus they contribute to the race to get to the next VIP level where a few more interesting doors open for you

I have an "in between" opinion. At first, I played just one and that got old after a couple months. Then I joined CC and I quickly bumped it up to 5, and then 6 because of bonus enticements, freerolls, etc. I found my bankroll was getting too spread out to absorb bad runs and the gameplay was too varied for me to really get comfortable and excel.

I work best with a BR at 2 or 3 sites. I play one for a while and can switch if I go on a bad run or get bored, etc. I watch the others for reload bonuses and I move money if I see benefits.

As far as seeing the same players, I think it depends on the site. I do see familiar foes repeatedly at small sites like Titan & Poker.com. But I don't see it happen too much at larger sites like Party or Full Tilt.

I happen to jump from site to site, depending on what sites are offering reload bonuses...and if there's a good first-time bonus that I can't pass up. Typical month goes like this for me:

1) Do any Party and Empire reloads
2) Does Stars have a reload? If so, deposit for max bonus - play cash games and SnGs (and an occasional MTT) to earn FPPs. Since these bonuses are stackable and never expire, just clear them over a couple of months of play...if it's a double-FPP period, crank out the FPPs on Stars until bonuses are cleared
3) If Paradise has a reload, add to that pending balance - these bonuses never expire and are stackable. If not playing anywhere else, work on these bonuses.
4) Deposit a couple hundy at bodog - clear this bottomless 10% bonus in cash games or SnG games.
5) Leave options open - sometimes a reload at Absolute is a good idea, while trying out a new site like Titan or CD Poker (look for rakeback on new site, if possible) is sometimes a better option.

Currently on my machine:
Absolute, Party, Stars, Titan, CD Poker, Paradise, Bodog, Empire - I think that's all of them right now. All Primas I've previously done have been uninstalled - until a decent reload bonus comes at a site like Bet365.

So, yeah, I strongly advocate moving from site to site on a regular basis, especially if you have any kind of bankroll.

I think its better if you stick with just one poker site. Of course that only works if you have found one that you like. I prefer party poker... so why would I play somewhere else? I want to build my bankroll where I play. I think they have great software and it looks great. But there are a lot of really good poker sites out there. Be safe and stick with one of the big 5 or 6 casinos.

You may want to join other company's to take advantage of those bonus deposits but spend the bulk of your money/time playing on the site that you like.

It's all up to you in the end.

Me too. Right now I am playing mostly at Titan (don't groan everyone; I enjoy the SNG's and the MTT freezeouts there), Absolute (a group of friends and a way to relax) and Full Tilt (cool avatars, hehe) but I think I still have small $ at about 6 or 8 other sites I have tried out after other people recommended them.
