Since I've been grinding a challenge on BlackChip (an ACR/WPN skin) with rakeback I've been checking how much rake I've been paying....I paid over $21 in rake playing a mix of 2NL and 5NL full ring NL...and most of the hands were at 2NL. This seems pretty high for rake but not really sure.

Black Chip's site says they take a max of $3 per pot at all NL games (1c per 20c in pot up to this max), is this normal or insanely high for micro stakes?

I hope not. I was looking at Pokerstar's rake structure and their max per pot at 1c/2c is 30 cents, why is BCP/ACR's max per pot at 1c/2c 10x that? And flat all the way up to max stakes at full ring. $3.00 cap per pot at 1c/2c that's crazy.

Yes, well there are a lot of new sites coming out who will challenge these structures.

One is only charging per buy-in and not per pot.

NLOP.com is utterly free (if you don't buy a 'membership').

Not sure what GlobalPoker does, as I don't play cash there.

But yes, in the US, it's pretty thin. Thank goodness that some sites have the cajones to stand up to the mafia bullies who run the state.
