What is your "Rush Week" goal?

I have decided to not attempt to clear in my account the highest bonuses during the "Rush Week" promotion on full tilt poker.
I will play regularly as if the bonuses weren't active because this time the value of the rewards is miserable in proportion if compared to the action and the amount of rake that you have to leave on the field.

What plan have the other members of this forum?

I wasn't sure what my RUSH goal was. I figured I'd try for the 100 FTP's per day, so at about 12:25 I joined a $25NL table.

It took almost exactly an hour to clear 50 FTP's at $25NL (FR).

I quit after making 58.17 points in 552 hands.

The $5 bonus, lol.

That's a whole buy-in to me! And it's easy peasy to get!

The good news is that in the process of getting my 10 FTP's at 5NL last night I actually made ~$14 as well. So yippee.

10$ Bonus for me please, I have a 1st deposit bonus to unluck so will help clear a little of that too, plus hopefully hit a Ironman bronze if I can get 50 ftp each day till the end of the month.

$50 bonus, I usually play 4 tables 10NL to clear bonuses and it takes about 1 hour and 15-20 minutes to make 100 FTP

I am usually -0.5 to +2 buy-ins after playing for 100FTP

My RUSH goal is to play none of them.. and to take most of my MTT play over to other sites during this week. I think RUSH mtts are a joke.
As far as RUSH ring tables go.... idk.. I lost interest last week when I lost a big hand, & then two more big hands in-a-row (yah.. only 3 hands.. wahh) - - I got a guy who actually called off a 5bet allin, 150bb's deep preflop with T2.. vs my AA, flop comes T62 & he holds for the win, lol. Next hand was almost equally as bad. The other, I 3bet pre w KK in LP.. QTo calls OOP. I flop TopSet he calls big flop bet.. then I lead flop.. he shoves w a gutterball.. I call with Top Set.. and he hits... sigh.. fk RUSH! (too many 1 hit wonders on the tables... in typical ring game, I'm happy to reload with players like this on my table.. w RUSH.. I don't see them again (sure I might see another one.. but not into it)
I think RUSH turns the site into a bit of a monkey site.

My goal was ot not worry about the bonuses and focus on my play, instead of focusing on the bonus.

I'm close to 4 for 4 getting the maximum 1k pts and will try to go 7 for 7 for the $250 bonus. I only tried 1 rush mtt this week and that was the daily dollar with 9k players so fat chance of hitting the finaltable. I may try those 135 player rush sng's to get in that freeroll.

I play rush just about every day to get iron ironman level and this month I'm working towards unlocking $600 bonus. Rush is awesome. I don't understand why PokerOrifice says its for monkeys but I find it very profitable. I was down like 4k on fulltilt cashtables according to ptr and have got it all back playing rush this year. It's the best thing to happen to my game. I was worried when ftp changed the shortstacking rules in January but was very happy to get hooked on rush at the same time. Who knew I could play deepstack well? Rush is the best. I can easily stop my play and take little 5 minute breaks when I want to and I don't have to suffer through table breakdowns where 2 sitout then suddenly everyone leaves. The fish are constantly rotating around the fishbowl so I don't have to hunt through all the tables like on pstars.

I was doing nl 25c50c most of the year but to get 1k pts easier I tried the 50c$1 and the last 4 days I made a couple hundred though today I'm down about 150. Earlier this week I had 650 bigblinds on the 50c1 lol 1 of the entries I couldn't lose while the other 3 entries were up and down.

My goal was the 5 dollar bonus, which I cleared, then the 10 and a seat in the 50k freeroll...

Maybe I have this all wrong, but I kind of like the Rush play. I actually feel it improved my play. It made me a tighter, more position orientated player, and taught me where the fold button is. Sure it is full of bad beats (all in KK vs J9) and swings, but if you stick to the game plan of quality cards not quantity card, I think it can be profitable.

I realize you are playing blind, against opponents that you have no information on, but it can teach you to read bets, and observe not just your cards but the cards on the board.

A patient, relaxed, quality player can sit back and wait for the opportunity. As I typed this, this is what happened.....
I signed in and joined the Rush with the minimum table buy in of 10 dollars, and I like to play at a level outside my comfort, as I think it keeps me more focused and cautious.

anyway up to this point i had seen 200 pairs of cards but only 12% of flops (so wicked tight).

and then the Rush

I'm just gonna grab the $25, 4 days at 100. Tracking it too, cause the goal is to get the bonus and make money at the tables, and I'm up $43 on Rush this week.
Somebody has to lose rake, and it ain't gonna be me !

How could anything vs. Guenter3 fktard not be played 'right'?

Why buyin with 40bb's? What's the benefit of this? (see soooooo many who are buying in w 40bb... )

I made a total of $167.00 + $25 Bonus during the Take 2 Promo that Full Tilt had back in April of this year, and I am sure that others made a profit during that promo also.

im thinking one of the only initial reads someone is going to get other then bets is your stack size, plus it helps to minimize the swing (which I admit the game is full of)

I would rather play a regular MTT for sure, but i do enjoy the Rush from time to time

My question was sarcastic

1) I will not do this in less than 8 hours. It'll probably be 8.5. Had I triple-tabled from the beginning I could have done it in less than 7, as it takes about 55 minutes three-tabling $25NL to get 100 base points. (My math was wrong earlier)

2) I had my second best run of the week today, so I'm just $1.25 shy of $200 profit, without including the $50 bonus or $20+ in rakeback.

3) I'm probably cursed for Sunday.
