That's right.. i installed PP and was very excited to play a freeroll that I was invited.. booom... no deal...

In more words? There's nothing in that video that convinces me that playing at party poker is any different to playing at pretty much any other site. Plus the worldwide thing isn't strictly speaking true since they don't allow US players
Also, the computer voice is tilting and incongrous with the brand image. Why does a site called Party Poker have a voice on its ad that sounds like it's never partied in its life?!? It might work at dullrobotpoker.com but for Party it just doesn't make sense
The voice over right at the end (which is obv taken from one of their real ads) is much better aligned with their image. It sounds like he's smiling while he's talking and there's fun music and flashing lights in the background to reinforce the image.
If an ad doesn't tell my why that product is different to everyone else's, why I want it and what's unique about it then it's not going to convince me. And if it doesn't fit the image that's already been built for that brand then I won't believe it. It'll be the same for pretty much everyone watching it.

This is just a sad bit or advertisement. Computer animated voice and nothing but a black backdrop with white lettering. No pros, no women, no appeal or anything whatsoever for the advertisement. Ive seen highschool powerpoints better than this thing. Not that it matters to me because I think you cant be an American and play there.

If that's the case then you've got a real problem. The ad / infomercial / whatever is titled "Why Party Poker?" and the answer you're giving to the question is "Well... actually, they're much the same as everyone else".
FWIW I'm having a look around their website at the moment and it does a really bad job of selling what they have to offer too. There's some ambiguous stuff along the "feel it" theme at the top of the page and an ad for their welcome bonus, which is significantly smaller than their competitors.
By comparison, look at Full Tilt's front page. It tells you that you want to play on Full Tilt so that you can learn, chat and play with the pros and they'll give you a sign up bonus of up to $600. Their security and game integrity message is also displayed a lot more prominently.
pokerstars front page makes a big deal of the fact that they're the world's largest online poker room. Their first deposit bonus (again up to $600, significantly more than Party) is displayed prominently, as are images of their sponsored pros and details about their guaranteed prize pool tournaments and affiliations with live tournaments.
bodog's thing seems to be that they offer casino games and sports betting as well as poker.
These other sites have decided what makes them special (playing with the pros at Full Tilt, being the biggest at Stars, offering other services at Bodog) and they make a big deal out of it. For an ad for Party Poker to stand out, it's gotta find what makes it special and then shout about it.

I deposited on Party Poker when I first started out in poker, they charge you to withdraw!I mean, isnt it enough with the rake and fees!
And as for if that advert would get me playing there?

Its kind of like that fulltilt one where Phil Ivey came home and he found his wife in bed with some one else.Except there's no Phil Ivey and that commercial was good.Are you joking,That was the worst thing I ever watched.I'm stuck here wondering if any of these video's are for real.Did you make that video with a speak and spell and a vhs camcorder.If that played anywhere on the telly I would be amazed. I would have to ask myself what kind of site would make a commercial like that,some noobie site with no budget for advertising and that my money wouldn't be safe.I know that they are but if I didn't that commercial would make me wounder wtf.
