After playing on several online poker rooms, I've had my good and bad experiences (as most folks have). What I'm interested to know is, what do you look for when choosing a site, and what are the up and downsides of the sites you currently play on? I expect there'll be some conflicting opinions because, as they say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure".
By the way, PLEASE... NO "rigged" rants!:)

Ease of deposit and withdrawl
Interface (main lobby, how easy it is to find tournaments)
Number of tables/tournaments
Table style (looks good, no avatars or at least the option to turn off avatars)

Good smooth interface.
Lots of variety and promotions.

And above all - fast table re-assignment.
There's nothing more aggrivating to me waiting for the software to halt all play and reshuffle the tables (Ultimate Bet - are you listening?)

If it's a new site that I'm looking for - what sort of 1st deposit bonuses and other stuff the site will offer. As an example, I started out long time ago (roughly 4-5 years ago) on PokerRoom because of initial bonus and entry into tournaments. Then played on other sites to capitalize on initial deposits but come back to PokerRoom to check out their bonuses for current players.

On top of that, look for good reload bonuses as well as how many players are online at any given time or on average. Another thing I look out for is to see if they have any special promo events/tourneys such as winning a trip to Vegas to play in the WPT or in Niagara, which is pretty close to me anyways.

For other players, they may want to find a site where the windows are re-sizeable or able to just get the bare-bones information in order to Multi-table. I don't multi-table, but if you want to, it would make it easier on the amount of real estate needed on your monitor. Or you could have multiple monitors to help with that!:D

I generally look for the site that is most easiest to navigate, and right now that has to be full tilt....

I also like the avatars on full tilt, lets me not be bothered by the gay little chairs on ultimate bet, I would like to start playing on pokerstars when they have PS for mac (hopefoully soon)
