Okay literally the weirdest thing is happening right now as I type this. I'm playing in the Coin freeroll on FT and am apparently on a table where everyone but me is AFK, 8 people instafolding to my every raise. I've no idea what the hell is going on and to be honest it's kind of freaking me out and it's going on for a good 15 minutes straight. There's a break now so we'll see what happens after.
Have a look at the chat logs.

Dealer: aalexandar wins the pot (40)
Dealer: Hand #36391063314
Dealer: aalexandar wins the pot (80)
Dealer: Hand #36391063769
Dealer: aalexandar wins the pot (100)

Is it possible that I got placed at a table with 8 afks or what? I mean if they were AFK they wouldn't be instafolding right, they'd run their time and then fold, right?
Can anyone shed some light here?

Edit* Still hapenning after break

Wrong, for the first hand they may take time to fold but after that they should insta fold.

I don't think I have ever heard of anyone complaining about free chips.

I remember back before Black Friday, when Full Tilt had their wsop pools for each event, if you finished in the top (my memory probably fails me here) 1000, you'd be automatically entered into a freeroll for that particular event. So, if you were picking your horses for a Stud Hi/Lo event, that would be the event you'd play if you finished in the top 1000.

It was common to have a lot of sit outs, and it was always pretty easy to make the money in those tournaments.

I say just go with it, enjoy the free chips, and build up a stack so that when you are seated with players actually playing, you'll be able to play some poker against them.

On UB, the sitouts would have their stacks removed from play after a certain period of time (probably the first level - now I don't recall for sure exactly what the criteria was, but you'd have freerolls go from 1000 players (just picking an arbitrary number) down to 400 after the first level.....also pretty easy money, of course as long as you weren't playing against a superuser who saw your hole cards. ;P

that happens often in coin freeroll and even if you have luck, you could get some coins without playing.

I often register and never play it because the whole promo is a big joke.
