When I think of security, I see that today it is more difficult to protect your station from an attack,we see every day reports of invasion in social networks, government websites, large companies, sure everyone leaves their hair standing, we believe we're safe when we access our Email accounts, banks, game sites, and if this is not true? What should we do?
When we are at poker sites, we always have the claim that our accounts are 100% safe, I believe not to be totally true, my account was invaded from a distant and ignored place, I live in brazil, and my account was invaded from Lithuania, but I ask how?
I did not know anyone in that country, when I realized, I sent an email to the support of poker stars, and my account was frozen instantly,my concern was not in my account being frozen, since I had not done anything wrong and would never have these attitudes, we continued the contact with the support, and so came my biggest surprise.
Who accessed my account had all the account information, such as password, pin, nickname ...At this time I was already panic, and my money ???
when i get another email from the support

Hello Wilson,
Greetings from pokerstars.
Your account has been suspended since we find that it has been accessed from a new location without your knowledge. We have conducted a thorough investigation of your account and believe that your password has been compromised.
The facts that support this argument are as follows:
Your access logs do not show access attempts with the wrong password; The person who accessed your account knew your password perfectly.
Fingerprint technology is used by our Security team to determine on which computer your account was used. In this case, our investigation concluded that your account was accessed from a computer in Lithuania where no access was previously detected. It is then possible that your password has been compromised.
Regarding the balance in account, fortunately there was no real money movement.
How did my money not disappear?
It was because I noticed it fast and the site support acted fast
I ask you, are we really safe about our money on various poker sites ???
What do you guys think about all this? Should we stay alert?
After checking, my account was returned
We had to take some steps like formatting and changing passwords,
With the documentation that the site requested, after 5 days everything returned to normal, but in my mind remains the day my account was invaded, and almost lost everything I had, today I always try to change my passwords to avoid these setbacks again:):)

Sounds like they did a good job and even if they didn't get it back they insured the funds.
