Is it possible to circumvent the ban on gambling by using a VPN?

Residents the australian continent cannot play poker. Is it possible to get around the ban by using special software?

If you read the T and C you will most likely find that deal with it very badly, even going as far as banning the account and keeping the money! (dont know this for a fact, but have read about some of it on PS atleast).

(one last try, now with maybe a more engaging "tiltle")

Hello, pokernauts!

Here is the reason of "the question".
I live in a country where poker online as to much strict laws not allowing me to play in the sites that offer better deals and with a good enough player pool. So for what I know I have two options: leave my country or use a vpn. I searched a lot about the use of vpn for poker online and i didnt found something that really assured that it was safe so i started to look for countries where i could move to. The thing is that i have 2 little children and of course i dont want to leave them even if it is "only" for 2 years, which is the maximum i think i would stay abroad.

Given this, I want to give it a try again to the use of vpn or something else that works to be able to stay in my country close to my children.

So, can you give me some kind of support about this telling me trough here or personal message what you know through experience that works or doesnt work?

Thanks in advance!

using VPN to play internet poker is not a wise choice IMO

most popular sites forbid it IIRC, relocation is the better choice im afraid

Most sites have rules about VPN, and also if you live in a strict county the sites you want may not offer you service in those areas anyway

It's a big risk if you win and they confiscate your funds. The sites must have software designed to detect such behavior.

it's possible, but not worth the chance of losing all your funds in the account if you are caught.

Yeah. So it's possible. I am interested in the precedent. How rooms relate to caught players? Freeze all funds or part? Prohibit access to the game? Or transmit information to the authorities? I think Australian players would be interested.

I just keep the bare minimum in my account, using an e-wallet as a middle man..I do 10-12 transactions a week..

Ps. It's 100% legal to play online poker in the united states, it's also 100% legal to use a vpn to access poker sites that don't except usa players.
TOA to play is a different story.

I'm in Australia and I am still playing online poker at sites that are still offering services and will continue to offer services, the only sites that have pulled out are 888 Poker, party poker, and poker stars.

To play using a VPN with sites that don't offer services will not work when it comes time to withdraw.

You will not succeed. The politics of poker rooms adhere to the laws. They have software that you will find. If not immediately, then later. There is one idea, but it is untested and probably will be difficult. If through your computer and the Internet beat home and manage (there is such a function in Windows) and play on another computer that is in another country. The difficulty in starting and maintaining another computer. Here, relatives or friends can help. The idea may seem crazy to you. You decide.

If you play on pokerstars for money, and the ban is already in force, means the room is breaking the law or he is given time to deal with the players? How are you going to play next?

I think this is a case of the site programmed in certain common ISPs and blocked them.
It's biwin and I tried several ISPs and they all came up blocked..so what they've done I assume is block all the addressses in this VPN

sure that you'll have problems when you they ask documents to verify you could play but to withdraw it looks very hard, plus poker rooms are always trying to find an excuse to not paying you.

Don't VPN as you will get caught and they will ban from that room. You may have to play live poker instead.
